Summer's appearance is always one she's proud of. Her natural breeding and grooming throughout her life has given her the looks most people dream about. Her honey colored hair curls in wild twists and tangles around her gentle face. Her hair grows like a weed and feels like silk, never dyed and always kept free of split ends and chemicals.

Summer enjoys wearing makeup and jewelry, but doesn't typically go overboard. She likes soft colors, to bring out the natural beauty she's graced with. Her hazel eyes are usually lined lightly with a darker shade of brown or black, highlighted above the lids by a softer color.

Lush soft lips often painted a pale pink, rarely harsh colors like red or black meet her mouth. A smile to light up a room, hardly ever would a scowl or a frown be present without damn good reason.
Slim and curvy, Summer takes the time to get her exercise, and actually enjoys it.

Not that her parents would know, Summer's adorned with a pretty little bellybutton ring, a tongue piercing that she doesn't commonly wear, and a small trio of earrings on both ears.

As much as she appears on the girly side, Summer has a rebellious streak, and it often shows itself in her clothes or just her stance. Her clothing typically reflects how she's feeling in that moment, her nails may be wild colors and her clothes bland, but she's perfectly content and completely confident that she looks good.

Personality:

Fear, self doubt, shyness, depression. These are the types of feelings that Summer Valyrian shows no signs of. She's almost always been completely sure of herself and who she is. Nearly every time you see Summer, there will be a smile on her face, and it's likely to switch to yours. However, half of it is merely a facade. She doesn't feel sad for herself, and she doesn't feel the shyness many girls her age suffer from.

There are plenty of things that scare or even terrify her, one of which being her parents. Summer loves her parents to an extent, but understands the pressure they're under of being such a popular and wealthy family. She was always viewed as the 'good one' in her family. She played the part of a rich, respectable young woman, but she doesn't feel that her parents treated her the way a child should be treated. The reactions of her parents were always overboard, and her fathers temper has ever scared her.

Adoring of kids, but alas she isn't sure if she ever wants any. She's not sure if she believes in marriage, but she will plan that out if she ever falls in love. Summer is moderately nervous about sex, but has no problems with girls. Openly bisexual but a little blunt about her lack of love for her relationships, she tends to be accidentally insensitive sometimes.

Some of the many things Summer enjoys above all else, are things like: Laughter, Jokes of all kinds, kisses, hugs, affection, girl talk, parties, dancing, singing, piano, workouts, music, rain, storms, kids, animals, modeling, decorating, Christmas, Chinese food, spiders.
She cannot, however, stand: Police cars, handcuffs, rough sex, wet dog smell, lies, man whores, failing grades, tequila, complicated books, lots of homework.

History:

Summer was born into a very rich and well known family in Florence, Italy. She and her brother were often viewed as the most beautiful children in the city, cited many times in newspapers and magazines due to the reputations of their parents. She grew up well, groomed for high society and socialite lifestyle. About the time she was seven, her family life changed a little. She was often taken with her mother or father to another wealthy family's home, and would spend time playing with their children while the adults conversed. It confused her for a couple years until her brother took pity on her and explained why she was forced to spend so much time with specific kids. It was explained that her parents were trying to see how much they could get out of marrying her off. Summer's mother had been bringing her brother Damon to all her friends, trying to get the best marriage, though Summer had the feeling her brother didn't view marriage as their parents did. This upset her, as she was only twelve, and didn't appreciate being bargained off for even more wealth and a better foothold in the Italian upper class.

Summer grew slightly rebellious, but in a very simple way. She merely stopped doing her chores, and throwing little fits whenever her parents took her to see her 'friends'. Her fathers temper became apparent when Summer's tantrums ruined, what would have been, a very profitable match for her. He struck her many times and claimed she brought it upon herself, that her station was beneath his and he controlled every aspect of her life. From then on, every time she disobeyed she was struck, though not usually in the face. Her brother occasionally stood up for her, as often as he found out about it, but he was a boy and older than she was, her father held nothing back when striking him. Summer eventually just learned to take it, and not tell anyone because she probably had been asking for it. It wasn't like she was beaten, it was only when she misbehaved.

At the tender age of fourteen or fifteen, Summer was invited to a college student's party. She was so ecstatic to be invited, she accepted. It turned out to be a nasty trick to get some form of revenge on her older brother, and upon arriving she was restrained and something was injected by needle into her arm. She'd never taken drugs, and didn't understand what an overdose was like. The demands on her safety were lewd and lascivious, disgusting her to no end, but she came to the decision of her own free will and agreed, begging her brother to comply. It may have been disgusting, and it may have been wrong, but Summer felt the selfish need to not die, and she tries not to feel guilt for that, she knows Damon feels all the guilt there is to bear for it. The demand was sexual in nature, and was worse, committed. Upon her brother's arrest Summer lost her temper with her parents. They refused to listen to her, ignored her reasoning, her revelations and accusations of what really happened. After her family broke apart, Summer was forbidden by her parents law and the laws of Florence to see her brother, and to give her the life he felt she needed, he left the city, the country even. Because of their outrageous reactions, Summer never revealed to her parents that she'd expressed sexual interest, or romantic interest, in anyone, let alone other girls.

It didn't help, but Summer didn't feel like causing more guilt. She appeared in newspapers constantly, things like; "Summer Valyrian seen at party, cry for help?" Or "Rape victim on a date, how she conquered her fears of men." Things such as that, the stupid, mundane things everyone does were suddenly all about the incident, it defined her as a victim, as a spectacle. It caused far too much drama for Summer to enjoy, and as a result, she begged her parents to send her away to private school. They accepted, and she was sent away. As much as her parents pay attention, sneaking away every couple months to see her brother in America wasn't hard to do.

Once her schooling was over, Summer moved promptly away from her parents iron fisted rule, and since her parents had no clue where her brother lived, California seemed the best place she could think of. In family, Damon is Summer's best choice. She holds no grudge and loves unconditionally, he's practically her best friend. She disagrees strongly with how he treats females besides her, but she doesn't think it's her business.

Interested in dealings of the brain, and how others think, Summer takes her psychology very seriously, but often is viewed as an unlikely student based on being a pretty blonde.

i loved the detail you put into her appearance. i usually don't like hilary duff used as a pb, but you did wonderful with summer. i always enjoyed how she wasn't your typical "i'm pretty and i know it" character. she's attactive, but she has human, everyday emotions. her history is both sad and entertaining to read, something that makes her stick out from the pretty blond crowd for sure. you did a wonderful job on the paragraphs!
