Let's start from Ajax' hair and work our way down. Ajax has long, mid-length sleek black hair that he takes almost obsessive care of. This black is almost his natural color, which is a very dark brown. He dyes it a few shades darker and waxes it upright with various spikes and jags. Still he wears it in such a way that it covers both of his vivid green eyes and reaches down to the tanned skin of his cheeks. Ajax' straight nose rests an equal distance from each of his eyes and is perhaps slightly bulbous. Ajax' lips are naturally more red then the average male's. Ajax' chin is rather rounded and possesses a large indentation roughly at it's center.

Ajax is reasonably tall, at five feet and ten inches tall. He's skinny. Very skinny, but not what you'd call scrawny. His slender build is muscled enough for him to avoid looking like a wimpy guy. His shoulders are reasonably broad and muscular, they flow down into arms of skin, bone and muscle. Ajax chest isn't particularly broad, or muscled. Looking at it you can really tell just how diminutive he really is in stature. Another less muscled part of Ajax' body is his stomach. He's got a little definition on his abs, but nothing amazing, not that he cares too much. Ajax legs are once again a bit more defined, he has large, strong thighs, and leaner, less muscled but still decent calves. Some of the most prominent features Ajax possesses are scars. From his time as an emo in LA, he's got scars that resemble crucifixes. One on each arm from cutting both down, and across his wrist. These thin, dark scars are the products of deep, painful cuts, and will last a life time. Ajax also has a few thicker diagonal scars across his stomach marking deeper gashes. Finally. Ajax has calved “S M” into his thigh. These initials stand for Sarah Montclaire.

So. What does Ajax wear? Does he hide his scars? Hell no! Ajax tends to wear dark if not black shirts, often with obnoxious slogans, or bold statements printed on them. Sometimes they'll depict eye-catching images or similar such things, others they'll display simple text. Ajax would never be caught dead in a plain shirt. Pants. Anything colorful. Ajax practically lives in vividly colored jeans. Anything from purple to green, to blue to pink, and shades that range from dark to fluorescent and almost shining. Ajax is known for wearing crazy shoes. Sometimes they're heeled, sometimes they display vivid images, sometimes they have text all over them. Some times they're just strangely styled. Ajax may be the only guy you'd ever see wearing a pair of high-top black sneakers with an elf-style toe. So what about when it's cold? Ajax doesn't feel the cold much and therefore he doesn't cover up too much, but when he does he'll sport crazy items, from hoodies with strange designs to electric blue one-armed trench coats. Ajax uses clothing as another way to tell the world to pay attention to Ajax Trakas.

Accessories. Ajax has tonnes of these, he's got piercings pretty much everywhere on his face and he loves to show them off. He wears eye-catching, sometimes even garish studs and rings in his ears, lips, nose and tongue. About the only thing Ajax won't wear is a stretcher. He doesn't understand the appeal of them, but even then if he did find one he liked, chances are he'd wear it. Aside from piercing, Ajax wears the typical scene-style jewlery. Chunky looking out there bands and necklaces, all that sort of stuff.

Okay, so here's a breakdown of our friend Ajax.

Attention seeking

Ajax went from a great friendship where he was completely inseparable from Lilah to being a total loner. He hated the transition and it wasn't easy on him, and so to compensate he started to act in such a way so that he'd get plenty of attention from everyone. This is reflected in everything from his clothes to the way he always seem to talk louder then he needs to. He doesn't do annoying things just to make people look his way but he'll do things that seem slightly odd, or drop a few names if it means someone'll give him their time when he wants it. Depending on the situation, he may only be attempting to gain the attention of a single person in the group. If that's the case he'll make personal references, he'll create and refer to inside jokes. He'll figure out what interests a person and as long as it doesn't conflict with his personality over all he'll involve himself with it. If Ajax is trying to grab the attention of a group, he's likely to be loud, put himself in the middle, try to be as engaging as possible for everyone, even if it means trying to carry on twelve conversations at once. He loves doing this as it makes him feel valued, wanted and important to people, it fills the void that Lilah couldn't for so long.

Open

Ajax wears his heart on his sleeve a lot more then your typical seventeen year old guy. Any stranger on the street can pick his emotions, and he doesn't see a point in hiding them. When Ajax has an issue it's easy to get him to talk about it, you just ask nicely, give him a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to talk to. Throw in some advice and he'll tell you pretty much everything you want to know about his life. The other way to go about this is to piss him off to the point where he screams at you over your insensitivity. Perhaps the quickest way to get to know Ajax is also the only way to make an enemy for life out of him, angering him into confessing his feelings, thoughts and concerns to you.

Flirtatious

Ajax' outgoing, attention seeking nature also leads to him chasing sexual and romantic attention. He'll flirt with just about anything that has human DNA and a vagina, and even some things that don't meet the second requirement, although that's more for fun then anything else. Ajax is a major flirt, weather he's interested in a girl or just trying to make conversation, chances are he'll be chatting her up. Some times it's a big joke to him and he'll just be messing around. Sometimes he'll do it to see how a person reacts, without being really sure how he feels himself, and sometimes he'll be doing it for a more meaningful reason. Ajax flirts pretty much all the time, be it a joke, an act of curiosity, a romantic gesture, or a way to garner a cheap fuck. A big problem Ajax has, is that even when he's in a relationship he finds it hard not to flirt with other girls, it's just something that's so ingrained in his personality that he really can't help but let a few flirtatious words slip every now and then.

Stubborn

Ajax is a stubborn bastard for lack of a better term. If he sets his heart on something, he gets it. There's no stopping him once he's determined to do something. Ajax is the kind of guy who takes a look at his obstacles, realizes he's got no chance, then just tries harder and harder. It take basically a miracle to convince Ajax that he can't do something and even then you can't be so sure he's buying it. Ajax also won't budge on his opinions, once he's made his mind up there's just no changing it. If there's evidence that he's wrong or thinking in a bad way that he can personally see, he'll spend a lot of time conflicted before finally accepting that he was wrong. Now, Ajax is also stubborn about people in a way. Once you're a friend you're a friend, once you're an enemy you're an enemy. It takes a lot to even make him think about changing that.

Reliable

Ajax is very reliable. If he makes a promise he keeps it at all costs, there's pretty much nothing you can do to stop him. If Ajax says he'll be there for you you'll have to do a hell of a lot more then just push him away. He'll keep coming back until you give up on that. Ajax is also an amazing person to tell a secret to. Despite his own open-ness he's great at keeping a secret for someone else if he's told something private.

Random

Ajax has a whole bunch of random personality qualities you can't really put labels on. He seems to do things completely out of the blue, when in actuality he's planned them out meticulously. He's also a bit of a douche bag at times. Ajax has always been one for doing completely random things just to see what happens. When he was little it was watering trees with yogurt, and now that he's older it's making out with guys on dares just to see where it gets him.

History:

Ajax is, as his name implies born to Greek parents, although he himself has never been to Greece. Ajax lived in Manhattan from birth until he was twelve. When Ajax went to Kindergarten, he felt out of place, culturally as his parents raised him in a very traditional Greek way, he didn't really fit in with anyone, but when he met Lilah Montclaire, the pair clicked instantly. From day one they were inseparable. Ajax practically grew up in Lilah's pocket, he spent all his spare time at school with her, and would constantly invite her to his house and go to hers. This continued and Ajax grew very close to Lilah's family, although his own family never fully approved of this closeness. It had started to get to the point where Ajax all but identified himself as a Montclaire, as Lilah's brother. And that's when puberty hit. Ajax started to form an attraction Lilah that made him feel really confused. He feared that these new emotions, despite his lack of understanding of them would ruin their friendship. Ajax began to act awkward around Lilah, not being able to bring himself to speak to her about his inner most feelings as readily as he used to. He was worried that his awkwardness would jeopardize their friendship, and so he started to push himself to 'act natural' around her. Finally he was able to get over his awkward acting, and at late age 12, he almost told her how he felt, he began to plan it, and that's when his father announced their moving to Las Angeles for the purpose of his work.

Ajax stayed in contact with his long-time friend throughout his time in LA, but started to get very depressed without her company. He attempted to make new friends but he couldn't manage to find anyone he could connect with a level close to that of his connection with Lilah. So instead he found ways to stand out. He changed his look, wore stranger clothes got his hair done differently, he became a scenester in style and with the looks he received and the attention this new style garnered him, he started to grow more confident. He made tonnes of friends, and while he still wasn't part of the 'popular crowd' he fit in better than he ever had in Manhatten, and yet Lilah still continued to be his best friend. Ajax began to date, and he had a few girlfriends he was happy with, but whenever break-ups happened he always seemed to blame it on the girl not having personality qualities that to him Lilah seemed to epitomize. He'd talked himself into thinking she was his perfect girl.

A week before Ajax' fifteenth birthday Samantha Montclaire, Lilah's sister died. Ajax was hit hard by this, he felt a closeness to Lilah's entire family, and grieved with them. He began to make travel arrangements, and eventually made it to the funeral. He caught up with his old friend, getting along just as well with her as when they'd last spoke in person. It really helped him to get over the loss, by re-connecting with the remaining Montclaires, and he hoped that seeing him had helped them too. Ajax wasn't concerned with the fact that he'd given up his birthday to join them at the funeral, to him they deserved all the emotional support they could get and he deserved to say goodbye. Ajax stayed with the family for that night and part of the next day before leaving for home. During the night, the depressed pair both lost thier virginity to one-another, and while usually if something like that happens between friends, they sweep it under the rug and don't bring it up, but with these two it's frequently joked about, and talked about more seriously.

Back at home Ajax found himself depressed missing his best friend even more having seen her, he was stupid in his way of dealing with this, he cut off contact with her for the next few months and withdrew from his friends, going through a brief period of time in the LA emo clique, although this didn't suit him and accomplished little more then self-harm and tears. He reconnected with Lilah, who helped him to get over this, leaving nothing but memories and scars.

Now, at age 17 Ajax' father has announced another work-based move, this time to Central. The family are moving into their new home soon. Ajax went t to tell Lilah of this, but before he had a chance she announced her move to the same place, that was happening just a few weeks prior. In typical Ajax fashion he decide to keep his own move a secret, to spring it on his old friend at the last possible minute.

Wow! My favorite part was definitely the history. The cute little love story that seems to be between them really intrigued me and kept me reading. Your writing style is great and definitely has the right amount of depth for this character. I think it's important to focus not only on the plot with Lilah, but also maybe add a third person in there such as an ex-girlfriend or a girl he really likes to add more to this character. I don't think you'll have any problems though and I overall enjoyed this application. Accepted!
