Appearence:
Naima has that typical girl next door look going on -- long, gold locks, small, petite figure and a dazzling, million dollar smile. Standing at the pathetic height of just 5'2, it would be easy for little old Naima to gain a couple pounds, but luckily, through God's wonderous creation of genetics, she's inherited her mother's inate ability to eat as much as she wishes and never appear the slightest bit chubbier - hallelujah! However, even if she wasn't blessed in this way, she'd still stay pretty toned through her regular jogging and gym visits. She's a girl who likes to shop, and a tight dress squeezed over a flabby stomach just doesn't go well. Naima's long, blonde hair falls a little beneath her boobs, usually in loose, care-free curls. She tends not to dabble in the world of dye; sometimes putting a couple highlights here or a few lowlights there, but nothing too drastic. Her eyes are a deep, olive green with the most subtle hint of blue (this particularly shines through in the light.) Her complexion is fairly ordinary - she gets the odd blemish here and there but with today's technology, there's nothing that a tan, a facial and a good foundation can't fix.Personality:
When it comes to dress, Naima changes alot. One day she'll be feeling pretty funky, so out come the Nike Dunks and layered jewellery; whereas the next she'll be feeling all natural and earthy, so out comes the floaty green number from her mother's closet. She stays pretty up to date with fashion but tends to change it up a bit so she's always a little ahead of the crowd. Also, after years of her grandmother's guidance in the art of textiles, she can alter, or even, when she puts her mind to it, make her own clothes, so she sometimes exhibits a couple of exclusive pieces. Overall, she likes to keep herself looking pretty tidy but not too done up - just enough to look nice and feel nice too.
Bubbly, upbeat, yet witty and sarcastic. It would be easy to cast Naima off as a harmless, dumb blonde, but she is the polar opposite. If she had to chose, she'd rather dedicate herself completely to her studies rather than her looks and popularity. She's smart and quick-witted, but sometimes her jokes can go a little too far and she ends up hurting people's feelings. Of course, at the time she doesn't realise she's doing it, but sarcasm isn't always the best attribute to harbour. Naima very rarely gets angry, but when she does it's quite shocking -- you wouldn't think such an explosion of emotions could come from something so little. Most of the time, though, she's a friendly, fun and interesting person to be around. She's always got some kooky fact to amaze you with or a naughty joke to brighten your day; she's like a ruder version of the girl next door.History:
Naima tends to be a little stubborn once she has made her mind up. She hates to be proven wrong, and will argue her point until she sounds like a broken record. She has quite a powerful demeanour, but with a softer edge - she prefers to make people smile rather than cry. I suppose, somewhere inside her, she's a little vulnerable. She'll never refuse someone admittance to her heart, and is constantly forgiving people of their mistakes. In her mind, it's better to get hurt over and over rather than to let go of someone you cherish altogether. Of course, this means she gets hurts a fair bit, but life goes on. She's a big girl, she can handle it.
Coming from a pretty rich family, Naima has the ability to get most things she wants fairly easy, but she is far from greedy. She appreciates all that she is given but also understands she needs to work for her own. Independant woman! Contrary to many people from a wealthy background, she's down to earth, and her passion for fashion, design and beauty spurr her on to succeed for her own instead of live off the back's of her parents. With hard work, however, comes hard play. She does enjoy her parties, and smokes the odd bit of pot here and there. Nothing amazing. She's a pretty cool chick, really.
Naima's father hit the riches through a waste disposal company he'd set up from a young age. Okay, so it's not the most glamorous way to become wealthy, but not everyone can be a magazine editor or a film producer. And anyway, with quite a few million stacked away in his bank account, life could be worse. Her mother met her father when she was protesting against land fills outside his company -- ironic, I know, but love works in mysterious ways. A strong-willed, independant individual with solid beliefs and morals, Naima's mother was a business woman with a dream -- to start her own fashion line. And after being swept off her feet and married by a millionaire, it soon became reality.Sample Rp:
Three years into their marriage, little miss Henderson came along. Her parents already had a son together, so Naima grew up being the victim of endless wrestling moves and Barbie beheadings. Initially, the family of four lived in a fairly big house in Washington, but as business took off for both parents, they were forced to move to acommodate the incoming demand. Both Naima and her brother, Mason, were adamant that they didn't want to move from Washington. After all, they'd both set their lives up there and had many friends; but what Daddy says, goes. When she was fifteen, her family relocated to California.
It didn't take long for Naima to make friends. She was a very popular girl, and people liked her. However, her passion for textiles and design stopped her from ever being a cheerleader or a posh kid. Sure, it crossed her mind a couple times and she talked with quite a lot of the people in the higher clique's, but she was never a fan of drama and it was a little too much for her. Instead, she preferred to hang out with people who were a little more chilled and she could have a serious discussion with. All through her life she attended the best of schools; they seemed the most secure for the essential education she needed. So when Hilton Academy was shut down, it came as a bit of a shock. Again, she was pretty agitated about having to change schools yet again, but what was done was done. Central High was her new school, and she was definitley ready for it.
"Arrghhhh.." A deep grumble released from beneath the bed covers in Naima's room. A ray of sunlight streaked through the gap in her curtains, shedding a little light on how absolutely trashed her bedroom was. Oh, don't parties have their downsides? Naima was certainly feeling the affects of copious drinking that particular morning. She could already hear her mother bustling around outside, her sewing machine going full pelt with that irritating whurr sound that never seems to die down. Cautiously, she opened one eye and dragged the top of her duvet back, just so she was peeping out across the mess. Another grumble released from her 5'2 frame, and she seriously considered shuffling back into her hideaway and hibernating for the next couple of days.As she laid, contemplating how harsh her hangover was going to be for the next 24 hours, the door gradually began to edge open. Wincing, Naima glanced up at the light that was now leaking into her hideaway. A head peeped round the corner, and, recognising the person standing there, Naima's brow furrowed. Her older brother -- oh joy.Celeb:
In a matter of seconds, Mason had leaped from his spot at the door onto Naima's bed, and was tearing away the covers like a kid at Christmas. "Cmonnnn chubby! Rise and shine!" This was pretty typical behaviour of both of them. They tended to annoy each other to no end, and it usually ended up in a petty argument. "I'm not joking Mason, get the fuck off of me." Naima scolded, trying her best to push the boy off. Of course, being so small, she was always the one underneath her big brother getting a chinese burn or being ruthlessly tickled. Mason didn't give up, and held her down whilst he pinched her arms and stomach. He cackled whilst she writhed helplessly, kicking her legs about. She could already feel the intense headache setting in. Oh god, one too many vodka shots. As much as she hated this treatment, the look on Mason's face was priceless, so an unwanted grin spread across her face and she began to giggle. 11AM in the morning, a terrible hangover and a crazy brother -- definitely the recipe for a brilliant day.
