Height: 100 lbs.
Appearence:
The first thing you’ll notice about Jac is that she’s a very tiny girl. Her height is about 5’2, maybe around average for a girl, but her weight (100 lbs.) and tiny frame make her seem quite abnormal. It’s never stopped her before, and her only complaint is that she can’t reach a lot of things. Her weight is evenly distributed throughout her body, luckily. Jacqueline doesn’t have the most curves, but she isn’t completely lacking them. That is probably the only aspect of her body that is around average. Her bright blue eyes tend to stick out against her rather colorless features. Her skin is rather pale compared to others, and her blonde hair is more platinum than yellow. All in all, you could say her natural features aren’t very different, but there can only be so many different body types.Personality:
Make up isn’t something she wears a lot of, which is probably a different thing for a teenage girl living in California. The most she’ll wear is mascara and a little light eye shadow. Usually it’s just the mascara though. Jac’s hair isn’t done up all elegantly or anything. You’ll rarely ever find it any different than just brushed through. Her right side bangs give her face a bit more shape without completely covering a part of it. She prefers her hair to be out of her face, the good part about long bangs. Her wrists are more often than not adorned by a few bracelets, her neck also adorned by a necklace or two. If anything catches her eye, you can be sure it’ll wind up in her jewelry box.
Just like with jewelry, any clothing item that she likes, she’ll probably get. Her clothing style ranges from a band tee, skinny jeans and sneakers to a sundress and flip flops. It really all depends on her mood. None of her clothes ever show an excessive amount of skin, at least not on purpose. The blonde just wears what she likes, whether people like it or not. Bright colors are limited in her wardrobe, because no one wants to go blind just from looking at your outfit. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t wear colors, just everything in moderation.
▪untrusting –That’s basically Jac in a nutshell. She isn’t going to just tell you what she’s feeling or what’s going on. To get her to trust you, you have to talk to her and show her you’re not out to ruin her. She’s not big on trusting anymore because of her ex, and though she’s gotten better with knowing people’s intentions, she still isn’t quick to give out her trust. Being her best friend is going to be a little difficult, but being just a friend will be rather easy. Don’t expect her to share her big secrets so quick if you’re not close though. Once you’ve got her trust though, you’ll never lose it unless you do something bad. Then, you’ll most likely never get it back. She’ll still keep all your secrets though.History:
▪caring – She is caring towards almost everyone. Jacqueline doesn’t believe anyone should be ignored or mistreated, though she wasn’t always treated in the best way. Everyone deserves to be loved, in her opinion, and it shouldn’t be any other way. People are all equal, and being treated otherwise isn’t right unless it has been warranted by certain behavior. People who are criminals that have murdered people, beaten people, and other such crimes don’t deserve the type of caring and kindness others do. To her, this even applies to animals, though many do not see them as humans or equals. She just hates seeing people not treated like they should be.
▪open – Jacqueline will try a lot of things. She won’t think twice about heading to a party, and if you want to be loud and obnoxious at the mall, go for it. Instead of trying to be the good kid and sticking to what she knows, she’s decided risks can be fun, as long as they’re not very bad. Getting drunk isn’t something she’d be afraid to do. Drugs are out of the question, but she would try them if she really wanted to. Though some things are just out of the question, that’s only really due to a fear she may have, such as heights. No skydiving for Jac. Just ask her, she’ll probably do what you’ve got in mind. The only thing she will not do is have one night stands. She’s extremely careful with that, and doesn’t want to risk her past repeating.
▪smart – Jacqueline hasn’t let herself forget everything she’s learned in school. Her mind is still full of the knowledge. It’s still helpful, obviously, if she wants to help a friend with homework or studying for an exam. Though she isn’t sure about college plans right now, her smarts are enough to help people. Jac has always gotten good grades and paid attention, so her knowledge is a lot. It’s not something she flaunts either. She won’t go around acting like a brainiac for people to respect her, because it’s really not that cool to know what she knows. It’s all things everyone learned in school. No one will be wowed by her knowledge because everyone’s learning it.
▪pessimistic – Jac just doesn’t think most things will turn out exceedingly well. She expects all situations in end in average results, and doesn’t usually get her hopes up. It is just how she’s come to be, and most people have come to expect it out of her. She is optimistic in some situations, but just mainly pessimistic. It all depends on the situation really, and who it involves. Jacqueline thinks things out before expecting a certain end result. She’s not going to expect a druggie friend of hers to get into the Ivy League college they want to go to. It’s simply impossible, unless they drop the habit and focus on their work. Common sense is definitely a thing she uses.
▪bubbly – Jac is naturally a very happy and friendly person. You’ll almost always find a smile on her face, and her bright blue eyes sparkling. She’s nice to everyone, and only ever argues if given a reason. Cheering people up isn’t difficult for her to do, and they generally want to be around her. Her kindness is extended to everyone she meets, and Jac has the utmost respect for everyone as well. It’s easy for her to find everyone as being equal and treating them as such. The only time these traits aren’t applied to a person is if they give her a reason to show them no respect. An instance would be if they decided to be a bitch to her, or a friend. That would upset her greatly, leading her to acting out of character.
▪loyal - Jac is extremely loyal to the people she likes. The friends she has are treated better than many people treat their friends. Her brother is really her only family she’s very close with, and he is treated like her everything, coming before all. Though she’s had very few, boyfriends are treated very well too, of course. If you say you really like someone, they should be treated with respect and you should care about them. Sometimes her ways lead to her getting taken advantage of, but she’s getting better with saying no and not giving in to doing whatever her friends want.
▪animal lover – Jacqueline is very much a lover of animals. She is vegetarian and doesn’t use products that have been tested on animals. The girl owns a dog, but hopes to get more animals because she can’t stand to watch a poor animal suffer in a shelter. Sometimes you can find her nursing a homeless animal back to health before finding a suitable home for it. Not everyone understands why she does it, but it makes sense to her. Not all of her friends respect animals the way she does, and she can understand it, as long as they don’t go telling her she’s wrong, stupid, etc. for helping them.
▪musical – Since she was little, music has always been important to the girl, of course. The guitar always appealed to her, and it didn’t take long for her to start to play it when she had the chance. Singing and playing her guitar always help calm her down, and it seemed like such a good thing to bring into a career. For now, she’s abandoned those dreams of being in a band, because they’re a bit unrealistic. Jac has never been able to ignore music though. She goes to shows when she can and plays whenever she can. It’s a thing the wants to continue with as long as she can. It never goes out of style and it always makes her happy.
▪OCD - Yes, she has OCD. It isn't very bad though. Small things upset her, and she can usually calm herself down when she has an 'episode'. They aren't crazy though, so you can barely call them episodes. Really just like a bother that she gets a little worked up about. The things that bother her the most are usually where certain things are and if she’s on time. If she says she’s going to be somewhere at a certain time, expect her there, at most, five minutes later than that time. And her room is set up a certain way, her bed in the spot she needs it and other small things in their ‘right’ spots.
▪shy/outgoing – The only reason Jacqueline would be shy was if she was around someone she really liked. Otherwise, she probably wouldn’t be. She’s again become outgoing, and won’t hesitate to talk to you. She’s got a weird side, but she’s mostly calm and friendly. When she’s with friends though, her weird side comes out. She’ll be very random, and act rather silly, but she’s always funny. She knows when enough is enough though, and won’t get to the point where it’s obnoxious. Overall, she’s fun to be around and a good friend, but not everyone likes her. Her first impressions aren’t always the best. Sometimes she’s caught on a bad day, and you’ll think she’s a bitch, or that she’s too weird.
Caprice and Laurent were the normal cliché high school sweethearts. They began dating their second year of high school, and it was love. They had both had a few screwy relationships, nothing too serious. What brought them together had actually been a conversation about college. They both wanted to go to school in the United States, but it was too expensive for their families. There was nothing wrong with French universities, but the other schools just seemed so much more interesting. It didn’t take too long for the couple to know the relationship was very serious and would last long. In fact, on their graduation night, Laurent proposed. Obviously Caprice said yes, and they planned their marriage. Being very religious, they decided to marry in a beautiful church with all their family members.Sample Rp:
They decided to wait a year to make sure everything was fine, and the year came and went. They started college and got jobs to prepare for their life together. By their wedding, they had enough saved up for an apartment. They were going to move in after their honeymoon. As usual, their wedding night was one they would never forget. It was also when their twins were conceived. Upon learning this, Caprice dropped out of college so she didn’t strain herself too much or harm the babies in any way on campus. She kept her job though, because being the assistant manager of a store wasn’t all that difficult. Laurent decided they should tell their families after a few months to make sure she didn’t lose them, since it was possible. Everyone was extremely happy, and did everything they could to help. Except for Caprice’s father. He felt she was too young to be pregnant. He wanted nothing to do with any of it, and Caprice was upset about this. Why couldn’t he just be happy?
Her pregnancy went smoothly, and she gave birth exactly the day doctors said she would. On December 1, little Jacqueline was born, making her the oldest twin. She was an adorable blonde haired baby, though quickly forgotten about for a second. Her brother Alexandre followed two minutes later, also quite adorable. Laurent and Caprice knew they’d have their hands full, but they were ready for it. They had a big enough home, and enough patience and time. After all, being on maternity leave helped, and Laurent was willing to do whatever he had to. The children turned out to be easy to care for, and relatives took over once the parents needed to get back to work.
Jacqueline and Alexandre had a normal childhood, though Jac early on loved music. Even at three, she played more with the musical toys, while her brother held no preference. Since it seemed to be a recurring theme for her, Caprice arranged for guitar lessons for the girl when she turned eight. Aside from that, everything was running smoothly. Alexandre did very well in school from the start, gaining praise from all of his teachers. Jacqueline was disinterested, and preferred to play outside and play music. She eventually caught on though, and did well. School always came second though. Music was just so much more interesting. And it took her mind away from everything else, especially her parents’ increasing amount of arguments. Alexandre seemed too involved in his workbooks to care. Or he was just doing exactly what she did.
At the age of eleven, the family finally had enough money to do what Laurent and Caprice had wanted to do. They could move to the US, and maybe it’d fix their failing marriage. The children didn’t want to move, but they did want to see what the new place was like. Unfortunately, their begging didn’t get them back home. They had to grin and bear it in New York. It did suck, because their English wasn’t the greatest and people didn’t quite understand what they were saying. The good thing was it was like they had their own secret language. The twins would have their own private conversations in French. Everyone would look at them funny, but eleven year olds weren’t always the nicest. Jac and Alexandre were just glad they had each other.
The next school year was actually normal, they knew English, made friends and got good grades. The US wasn’t as bad as it had first seemed. Everything was working out well and everyone was happy. Alexandre was still very smart, and Jacqueline still loved music. She’d recently discovered her voice, and enjoyed writing her own songs. Of course nothing monumental, since she was twelve, but good to her. The next year turned to be the worst one. Peacefully, Laurent and Caprice decided it was best to get a divorce. The kids were devastated, and begged them not to. They couldn’t change their parents’ minds, so they threw themselves even further into their interests and friends. They both made a lot of friends, some the same, most different. Alexandre was smarter, and made more friends in his classes, while Jac made more in her classes and with her musical interest. They still were interested in their family, but they relied in friends much more. They didn’t like their parents’ reasoning of, ‘we just don’t agree on things like we used to.’ It wasn’t good enough. At least with friends you had good reasons why you didn’t talk to them. Well, the twins did. Not so much everyone else.
In freshman year, Jacqueline had her first boyfriend, Marck. He was a year older, but he seemed so perfect. He was one of her best friends, and they got along so well. She fell in love in no time. No one said anything about him being bad for her, so that made him that much better. They had been going out for five months when he started hinting that he thought they should have sex. Jac wasn’t sure, but she wanted him to be happy. Maybe it was just her being paranoid. They were in love, and didn’t people who were in love do that? She finally gave in, and it was the worst decision she could have made. A few days after, Marck broke up with her. It killed her inside, and like most, she spent days just in her room crying. Jac made her mother believe she was sick. Depression set in quick, and she didn’t want to do anything. Jacqueline felt so stupid that she did that, and when thinking of the relationship, there were numerous times where his excuses were completely ridiculous. He had been cheating, or so she thought. It only made sense. Her other friends went to her house after the first week and made her leave and do what she usually did, though with much less enthusiasm and less desire to talk to new people.
This was all against her will, but she wanted to make them happy. School was terrible though, because Marck was almost everywhere she looked. It pushed her deeper into depression. Even just dating him had pulled her away from her brother, and they weren’t as close as they’d once been. That too was upsetting, and she didn’t know how to fix it. Being depressed and not thinking, her way to cope unfortunately came in the form of cutting. Not her wrists, since they were almost always exposed. Since sneakers had been her shoes of choice, she started with the ankles. It went on to be her thighs, and to more noticeable areas, like the crook of her elbow. After two months, her brother noticed a cut on her ankle. He wasn’t sure what it was from, but he kept his eye out for more of the marks. Just a few days later, his sister was wearing shorts around the house and he noticed more scars along her legs. Alexandre understood what was going on and talked to her that night. As soon as he mentioned it, Jac broke down and began crying. She didn’t want to do it, but she didn’t know what to do. Her mother would freak if she’d found out, and that would not be good.
Alexandre told anyway, and Caprice got her daughter help without making a fuss. If Jacqueline needed this to be better, then she’d get it. It did help, and in what seemed like no time she was hanging out with her friends again, along with her brother and doing the things she loved most. Music became a recurring theme, and they’d often spend days either going to shows or just playing random music they made up on the spot. Unfortunately, Marck was still everywhere. To escape this, her mother planned, against her will, for her to go to a boarding school across the country. Just for a bit to make sure she could recuperate.
