Appearence:
Unremarkable' would more than likely be the word Zoey would use to describe herself. She doesn't feel she has much going on in the looks department. Her hair is brown and average, in her opinion. But her natural hair color is blonde. In her younger years, she took to dying it black and, at times, other fancy colors, but after a while grew out of that stage ... mostly due to her own laziness. Now she sticks with the original color, preferring to be 'unremarkable' than to try to change herself. Her eyes, a dark shade of brown, are probably her least favorite of her features. She refers to them as 'poop brown', although in more offensive terms.Personality:
Zoey's style is impossible to sum up in a word. She'll wear anything she likes, regardless of the 'style'. Some days she can be found in ripped-up jeans and t-shirts, other days a light-colored, summer dress suits her mood. Although she would tell you different, she does like to look her best; her opinion of her best. She doesn't care if other people dislike the clothes she wears or how she carries herself, but she does try to please herself in those departments.
She's a small girl, standing at 5'1" and weighing 110lbs. She keeps herself slim in that ever-so cliche way; eating anything and everything in sight. In truth, she loves food and even if she started gaining weight, probably wouldn't stop eating whatever the hell she wanted. She's a small girl, standing at 4'11" and weighing 104lbs. She keeps herself slim in that ever-so cliche way; eating anything and everything in sight. In truth, she loves food and even if she started gaining weight, probably wouldn't stop eating whatever the hell she wanted. A lot of times, people don't believe her when she tells them she's nineteen sixteen and she's been offered kid's menus various times when out with friends. [not so true for this board, but I'm leaving it because it actually happens to me. >]
Sarcastic, easily amused, and laid back; Zoey in a nutshell, but there's much more to her than that. Her main goal in life is to simply enjoy it while she can. She knows life isn't never-ending and wants to make the most of the time she has on Earth. She tries her best to spend her time doing the things she loves rather than fretting about the things she dislikes.History:
Perhaps the most important thing in the world to Zoey is music. She loves every aspect of music from writing the lyrics, creating the songs, to basking in the sound of the finished product. She's very passionate about it and is probably more serious about it than anything else. Whether she's happy, sad, angry, or just in a 'blah' mood, music helps her vent. Writing it, singing it, and at her worst of times, screaming the lyrics to her favorite songs at the top of her lungs. Nothing is more relaxing, in her opinion.
Tied with music for the most important thing to Zoe is her family. She's been through enough to know that you have to appreciate the people you love while they're still around and intends on doing just that. Her family were the people who taught her to be strong, to always look at the humorous side of every situation, and most importantly, how to forgive. Everyone has flaws and her family is no exception, but even that has a silver lining; she now understands not to expect perfection.
Often times, Zoey isn't picky about the people she likes and dislikes. She usually looks for those who appear to be overall nice people. Although she can be judgmental at first, she's always willing to give second chances. To be liked by her, you simply have to be friendly with her. She leans more toward people who share her interests -- music, art, just having fun -- and are like her in some ways. She usually shies away from those who cause drama or make her life more complicated. When she wants to hang out with her friends, she wants to have a good time, not listen to arguments or see the people she cares about upset.
Regardless of whether or not Zoey normally gets along with people, like every other person in the world, she still has people she dislikes. That group consists of people who've lied to her in the past, people who've never done anything but make her life more complicated, and arrogant people. She's of the opinion that no one person is better than another person and is quite disgusted by those who believe this to be the case.
Not everything about Zoey is sunshine and roses, though. She's very skeptical and has trouble believing a lot of things. While she's a firm believer in a higher power, she's a little uneasy about one person creating the whole world. She also doesn't want to believe that any God could let so many bad things happen in the world. However, when she's skeptical about something, she tends to try to turn the conversation rather than argue her points to someone who probably won't listen.
Though she is a very good advice giver, she has a little trouble judging when it comes to herself. She's a terrible judge of character and often trusts those she probably shouldn't have. There are times when she worries so much that it even frightens her. She has irrational fears of tornadoes destroying her house and taking away those she loves, as well as break-in paranoia. Often she's most paranoid after watching a movie about serial-killers or natural disasters, but sometimes the fears come out of no where.
In short, Zoey is a fairly caring person, but like everyone has her flaws. She tries to have the best outlook on life, while still being herself. She sometimes has trouble keeping her fears at bay, but her personality definitely makes up for it. She may not seem like she likes people as soon as she meets them, but usually she's fun to be around once she's warmed up to you. Music and her family mean the world to her and she'd be lost without either of them.
Life wasn't always grand for the De'Angelo family. Angela and Ryan (Zoey's mom and dad) met when they were young; around eighteen. Angela, who didn't come from the greatest family, was looking to get out of her tragedy of a home as soon as possible. Ryan was almost like a savior to her. She was probably pushed into marrying him mostly for one reason; her father absolutely hated him. Not the smartest decision of Angela's (which is what most people close to her call her) life. From there, it could be said that life went downhill. Neither had a job; Angela, due to lack of work experience, and Ryan, due to pure laziness. They could tell from the beginning that things weren't going to work out, but at that point, it felt like they were the only two people the other could have.Sample Rp:
In no way did Angela want to turn back to her mother and father for support; she couldn't stand it if her father had something that huge to hold over her head. Instead, she decided that she would make due. When the arrival of her first son became apparent, it only made her want to work harder -- to create a better life for her unborn child than the one she'd had. She took up two jobs, neglecting her own dreams of being an amazing Hollywood actress. Waitressing, working in delis, minimum wage jobs; just a few of the kind she took. Eventually Ryab was born and life was okay. She kept at her jobs, providing enough money to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. They had enough to get by and that was all that mattered to her.
Next came the news that, once again, she was pregnant. Another boy would come along, and this time the world would be shaken up. She decided that she could rise to fame and make a name for herself. All while supporting her two boys, Finn., and Brody. While still working at the deli, she took acting classes to better herself; there was no way she'd walk into an audition and make a fool of herself. She had a close friend who watched her son's while she was away.
Things were still rocky between Angela and Ryan, but they kept things going. Forrest worked at times, bringing in minimal money, all of which was spent on alcohol. Angela did her best, though, trying to show the boy's that that wasn't the kind of life they had to have. Angela spent years honing her acting skills. During that time, Finn and Brody got two other additions to the family; Damion and Julianna. Julianna was a little over a year old when Angela finally got the nerve to get up and leave Ryan. She packed up the kids and moved to Vancouver.
Vancouver was amazing for a few months. It seemed the family didn't have a care in the world. Soon, however, the telltale signs of yet another pregnancy showed and Zoey was born. Now a single mom with five kids, Angela wasn't sure how well she could get into acting. Still, she hadn't lost hope completely.
Zoey meet her father, Ryan. He never made any effort to visit his children, least of all his newest baby girl. Although she did feel resentment for her father, from the stories she was told, she came to the conclusion that her life would have been much better off without him. The news arrived one day that he died in a fire. It was news to the family that he had gotten a job as a firefighter. The family mourned the loss, but moved on just the same.
The death of Ryan, her former husband, made Angela realize that life was too short; she auditioned for a hosting job. No one thought the show would really go anywhere, but amazingly, it took off in Vancouver, where it originally aired, and eventually moved over to the U.S. It didn't take off nearly as much there, but it's still going strong after ten years.
As for Zoey's life, she was enrolled in violin lessons at the age of six and founded her love of music. A few years later, she picked up the guitar and started writing her own music. Her passion for it took her far. She quickly mastered writing both music and lyrics. She loved to perform her own little shows for her family friends. A little over two months ago, Zoey came to California to visit her cousin, Amberly. In the little time she was here, she managed to get herself knocked up. Amberly and her family moved back to Canada, so now Zoe is (sorta) on her own.
[This sample isnt true, it just popped into my head xD]Celeb:
It'd been a while since I'd gotten to spend the day just walking around and enjoying the summer sun. It felt nice to stretch my legs and get some fresh air. Nick and I were taking a walk through the park, discussing life, music, and anything else that happened to come up. It was still a rather strange situation, but we were both handling it fairly well, in my opinion.
I was confused as to what, exactly, our relationship was considered to be. I mean, we were having a baby together, we lived together, but we'd never made anything official. I didn't want to be the one to bring it up; I didn't want to upset him and I didn't want to push him into anything.
Things were good the way they were, but I was starting to want ... more. I kept telling myself to let it go, but the more time I spent with him, the more I couldn't keep my mind off of it. I'd always thought that when I had a child with someone, it would be someone I was in love with, someone with whom I could build a family with. Then again, I'd never expected to be pregnant at sixteen either.
I turned to look at Nick and smiled. He looked pretty content for the most part. I poked his nose, something I'd grown strangely accustomed to. "What choo thinkin' about, fool?" I laughed a little and reached into my bag, pulling out some pop tarts that I'd put in there, just in case. It seemed like I was always hungry these days, but I suppose that's what happens when you have a baby growing inside of you. I took a bite of my poptart, then added, "Probably amazed by the awesomeness of my shirt. You jealous?"
