There's so many different interpretations of what beauty is. Ofcourse there's plenty of people who'll tell you that inner beauty is what really counts. Clearly these peopel don't reside in sunny California. We can sit there for hours talking about someones compassion or generosity or sincerity but as nice as it is, that's not what first grabs you attention. Giselle is no stranger to this reality.Personality:
While ther times haven't completely changed, they have to an extent. The mould for beauty has morphed and the stereotypical blonde hair, blue eyes thing is a thing of the past. To many people now, Giselle really is a representation of beauty. Her look is interesting and she stands out from a crowd.
Giselle takes more after her mother than her father. Marissa Margan is half Korean, half African American whilst Calvin is full African American leaving Giselle with her creamy dark skin and a complection she thanks god for. While she's not as dark as others, there's definitely no need for tanning.
Even though she'd nineteen, Giselle still has a slight baby face. The most striking feature on her face is probably her cheek bones. Just like her mothers they're extremely high while the rest of her face is quite small and drawn in making her cheeks look much bigger and puffier. Probably what gives her her youthful appearance. Her eyes manage to hold their own though. Big, bright and a warm dark brown, they're surrounded by a thick set of lashes that pop when coated with abit of mascara.
Thick, black hair frames Giselles face and hangs down her back. Naturally her hair falls in loose curls but who keeps their hair the same these days? Giselles keeping the hair appliance companies in business. One day her locks will be dead straight, others, curled or wavy. If she feels like being a little different, a sixties style headband across the forehead or a huge hair clip changes things up.
While she's happy with her hair and facial features, her body is another story. Giselle has never been fat but she has always felt pressure to be thin. Standing in at 5'7, she's always been fairly tall and carried any weight well. Not that there's much weight to carry. As soon as she started highschool, Giselle tried to consume as few calaries as possible. As a result she's now very thing. She doesn't look too unhealthy though as she's never really had any hips to purtrude out. Giselle's pretty much straight up and down, so she doesn't look like a completel stick figure. The years of eating disorders leaver her with extremely thin arms and lehs which are equally as long. And even though she's lacking in hips, atleast she's a got a chest abit bigger than her body.
A body that's had so much conern poured into it needs to be dressed right, right? A look in Giselles wardrobe and you can't pinpoint one particular style. She's got clothes from everywhere, for every occasion. One day you'll find Giselle in the tighest designer dress with killer pumps and the next day she's in a leather jacket, skinny legs and a band tee. Her style relfects her mood, not current trends and the most important thing is she's different from every other girl.
Giselle isn't too bad a kid. Though her and her siblings don't come from the most modest family, their parents taught them to be reasonably humble. As a result, Giselle hasn't adopted the bratty attitude many in her situation would have. Yes, there have been times where a little name dropping has come in handy and Giselle would admit to doing it though she doesn't make a habit of it.History:
That's a big part of Giselles personality. The girl is a firm believer in honesty. In her eyes there is absolutely no need to step all over people to get to the top and while some may argue that this because she's always has exactly what she wanted, this aspect her of her personality comes from her parents. The Morgans were taught an important lessaon growing up. There were lucky. Their lifestyle is a result of their parents hard work, not a cut throat attitude. Therefore Giselle believes in working to achieve what she wants or needs and she also believes in telling the truth. Don't get me wrong, this girl draws the line at being blunt or rude. There's a time and a place for honesty and Giselle knows it.
A quick look at Giselle and her lifestyle and past and alot of people could come to the assumption she's a bitch. Giselle's too busy living in the moment to worry about keeping up a bitchy persona. She's not fifteen anymore and the desire to be feared or respected or idolized has been gone for a long time, leaving not even a trace. Giselle is happy being Giselle and if someone doesn't like it, she's quite happy to tell them to go fuck themselves.
Oh, just because Giselle sees no point in being bitchy to people to further her own esteem, doesn't mean she can't snap when needed. Giselle's generally pretty collected and friendly but if she feels someone is out of line, they're going to hear it. She stunds up for what she believes in and makes sure her voice is heard. There is definitely a fiery side to her and she's quite proud of it. There are those that lose their temper at any little thing and cannot control themselves. Then there's Giselle. She'd protective of those she loves and is a firm believer in respect. She respects others, therefore she expects some common courtesy. When she is in a bad mood or loses her temper, Giselle is the spitting image of her mother. She's loud, she doesn't hold back and she certainly won't back down until she's won. Don't worry though, this sisn't a common occurance, just one to be aware of.
The common Giselle is generaly pretty bubbly and easy going. She had her mood changes so you either get relaxed, go with the flow Giselle, or the fun, crazy girl that's up for everything. I know there's probably alot of frowns when you hear about Giselles past and find out she's still seen on the pasrty scene but it is apart of her and she can't just give it up. Being around people is probably the best distraction. Time consuming people don't give you a chance to relaspe. Time spent without only yourself is a little more depressing. Especially for Giselle.
That whole confident act? Yeah, it's actually true most of the time. But there's a part of Giselle that's lacking in all of that confidence. While we all see some girl that's on top of the world and totally rocking life, Giselle's self esteem isn't actually so built up. Ofcourse there's the eating disorder and her issues with her image but more than anything, she regrets her past mistakes. Everyone's gones them, Giselle just finds it hard to forgive and forget hers. At times she feels unworthy or everything she has. While she isn't proud of what she's done in her life, Giselle doesn't hide it. There's no point in lying and she's learing to deal with it all.
To sum her up in short, Giselle Morgan is passionate, driven, moral for the most part, bubbly, care free, not entirely happy with who she is or has been but more importantly, she is who she is and won't let anyone tell her any different.
Giselle grew up as most kids in California. You won't hear any tales of abuse, neglect or death from this ones mouth and while she's never stopped to think about it or realise it, her childhood was pretty perfect. Her family was always pretty close knit and though they aren't as close anymore, there's still a tight bond.Sample Rp:
Let's talk about the Morgans shall we? Right after marrying, Giselles parents moved straight to Cali from new York to take advantage of all the cities oppurtunities. Calvin Morgan, then eager to provide for his wife and to make a name for himself, took an entry level position at a major record label. After just a few years though he rose quickly through the ranks due to inspired ideas to introduce some rap and hip hop artists into the label. His ideas and hard work were rewarded and by the time Calvin and Marissa's first son, Jordan, was born, he'd become a partner and music producer for the label.
Two years later, Marissa gave birth to the couples second child and only daughter, Giselle. Marissa went back to work soon after, choreographing film clips for her husbands acts. Despite the busy schedules, the children were cared for wonderfully, in more than just a financial status. Their mother was always home before dinner and both parents were wuick to cancel work for dance recitals and basketball games. Giselle got along fairly well with her big brother and the Morgan kids were joined by a third sibling, Jacob, when Giselle was four.
It wasn't until highschool and her teen years that Giselle's road got a little bumpy. Still to this day, she takes complete responsibility. Coming from a wealthy family it was no suprise she began her highschool education at Hillard and when she began, she was greeted with instant popularity. Having Jordan there for two years before her gave him time to brag about who their father was. Within days everyoen was quoting her brother on tales of her father working with Tupac and Wyclef and her mother directing and Justin Timberlake video. To be perfectly honest, Giselle soon saw the perks in this. It made her interesting and special and not long after starting highschool she decided to take full advantage of who she was.
By fifteen, Giselle and her friends were going to launch parties, partying backstage and getting into clubs. Her father would never say no to her but if he knew about the underage drinking and what was later to follow, he probably would have locked his daughter up. The Morgans were raised "right" you see, but Calvin was extremely naive. He was happy to share his success with his family and even happier to show his family off.
Perhaps it was the parents busy schedule or perhaps it was just pressure to fit in, but Giselle strayed from how she was raised. Seeing beautiful girls around her, Giselle's self-esteem took a slump. These skinny, blonde, model girls were everywhere! Her school, the clubs she went to, the mall. What started out as skipping a few meals here and there, turned into a diet of water, the occasional salad and vodka. The pounds melted away and she couldn't have been happier. It soon became too obvious to the rest of the family so Giselle changed her plan of attack. When forced to sit down and eat, she'd simply force herself to throw up after. As sad as it was, it all becamse very routine and normal for her and remains so till thise day.
Giselle's weight wasn't the biggest battle however. Though she went out alot and drank, she never got too out of control. She did well in school and was allowed to be rewarded on weekends. Even Giselle considered herself fairly responsible. She didn't get drunk all the time and she knew how to take care of herself. Or so she thought. At 16, she had her first line of coke in the VIP room of a launch party. It didn't do much but after a few more times, she developed a taste for the drug but made it a rare thign and wouldn't do any other drugs.
Atleast one of these were true. Giselle never touched any other drugs but her cocaine use became more frequent. At the end of Junior year, she was partying around four nights a week and amde the decision to leave school and California to go on a six month world tour with her father. She finished her Senior year via homse schooling which gave her more time to party. Her older brother had noticed his sisters behaviour and though she didn't seem to be too effected, Jordan informed his parents. Ofcourse they instantly felt guilty and responsibile. They'd introduced her to this worls. They'd been ignorant to the situation. Giselle however, took full responsibility for her actions. There were her choices afterall.
Without complaint, she was admitted into a rehab facility. They'd ignored her eating disorder but this would not be swept under the ryg. The process wasn't to difficult for Giselle though she did miss her family and friends. After two months she was clean and out of rehab. Rather than going straight back to California she decided to do some soul searching. Now after a year of being away, Giselle is returning to California and is excited to see how things have changed.
