this man is twenty-six years old. he has a four year old son named logan. he works as the woodshop teacher at the high school, and is also a rancher.
maverick mainly keeps to himsel about his own business. but he does like to get to know people. he's accustomed to asking a lot of questions about others, if it doesn't seem too prying. if it is, he'll stop. he's a simply country man, born and raised in helena butte, montana. he grew up with a lot of responsibility and the notion that women were there to be treated respectfully--so yes, he is a very nice, sweet gentleman that will wine and dine any lady he comes into contact with. that's not to say he's flirting, but just giving them attention and being a good friend. his "attention" can be mistaken a lot of times for something deeper, though.
he went through a rebellious phase in his late teens, meeting the woman who'd later become his wife and the mother of his son, renee. she got him involved in alcohol and drugs. she left when she got pregnant, so he never knew about logan yet. maverick went through an alcoholic depression until he finally enlisted in the army to get himself sobered up and back on track. there, he rose to lieutenant. his stint as a commanding officer wasn't long. he was wounded in battle--a knife in the back had him in physical therapy for weeks, and to this day still has a limp and scar to prove it--so he got dispatched home only to find renee had come back after all that time. but now with his son.
it took him a while to forgive her, but they eventually married and things were good until she was thrown from a horse a year later. he'd been unable to get her aid in time, and he's always blamed himself for her death since. with too many bad memories in helena butte, maverick uprooted he and his son and came to california instead.
sooooo. he'll need friends. he's very personable and relates to people. he might not talk much about himself, but he has a great ear to listen with. and he's normally not judgmental, at least not aloud... and figures that everyone has some sort of fault that you'd simply have to learn to love.
enemies are great, too. i'm sure there will be folks that consider him fake. or hate his country ways. anything you got for ideas in this department is welcomed. drama is always fun!
loverssss. he's a broken man, ladies, so let's tread easily. he's not wanting to get into a relationship right now--or anytime soon. in fact, he's pretty much focused on his son only. but it'd be great to find a girl who maybe mistakes his "attention" for something more; those are really fun to play out. uhm, he wouldn't have any exes because renee was his first and only love, and any woman he was with afterwards is back in montana. i'm sure things can be thought of here.
so plots him up, please!
