Appearence:
Hollie wouldn't ever consider herself beautiful. But she wouldn't consider herself ugly either. If anyone asked, she'd say she was just an average girl. She has plain brown hair, and common hazel eyes. And her height is nothing unique. She feels completely average in every way. But others might describe her differently.Personality:
Hollie has dark brown, which is a gene she has inherited from her father, her mother being extremely blond. The length is rather long, reaching about halfway down her back. It usually falls straight, but sometimes she'll wear it curled. Framing her face nicely, it brings out the rich brown color in her eyes. She can normally be found twirling it, or running her fingers through it.
Standing at 5'6, she is in the average height range for her age. There are girls who are taller than her, and girls who are shorter, and she's perfectly happy to fall in between. Hollie hates to stand out, so being average height is perfect for her. And her weight is in the average range also. She's not sickly thin, but she's not grotesquely fat either. A happy medium.
Hollie can normally be found wearing something comfortable and casual. She's not a huge fan of dressing up, but she doesn't mind it. She's the type of girl who you will find in a t-shirt and jeans most of the time, but still looks put together.
Many people would describe Hollie as a quiet, down to earth girl. Others would say she was a loud, optimistic, carefree soul. It all depends on when you've met her, and to what capacity you know her. The ones who'd fall in the first category would probably be people who met Hollie after her fathers death, and who don't know her too well. The latter would be her friends who've known her forever and actually get to see the real Hollie.History:
Hollie isn't the type of girl to show her emotions. She usually keeps everything bottled up inside. Which can be a good or bad thing. She never gets angry, or at least, she never shows her anger outwardly, which most people would consider a good thing. She comes across as an even tempered girl who is very accepting of others. But she also keeps everything else bottled up too. And sometimes, it would be better if she just let everything else.
When with her friends, Hollie just loves to laugh and to have a good time. She can always be found with a smile on her face when her friends are around. She is extremely loyal, and once you're friends with her, there is no escaping. Not that you'd really want to escape, because she is a very sweet, very friendly type of girl. Although she has the label as prep, she's not at all b*tchy or rude.
Hollie Noel Scott was born on June 12th, 1992, in San Francisco, California. She was born as the first, and only child, of Evelyn and Kyle Scott. Kyle was a very successful attorney, while Evelyn was employed as a school nurse. Hollie was a very loved child, and she was never really lacking in anything. They were a well off family, and Hollie ended up being a spoiled little child. But she wasn't spoiled rotten, she was just used to getting what she wanted. That is, until she was five.Sample Rp:
When she was five years old, her parents got a divorce. They had been on end with each other for some time, and finally decided it was time to go their own ways. Hollie didn't understand at the time what was going on, but she felt it was her fault. After all, the main reason they got a divorce was because of parenting styles. Hollies mother was always strict and overbearing, while her father was more laid back and carefree. It all started when Hollie was three and her mother enrolled her in dance classes. From the first day, Hollie absolutely hated dance, but her mother insisted she keep doing it. That was just one of the things her mother and father fought about. Her father realized Hollies dislike for the sport, but her mother continued to take her to classes.
Well, when they finally got the divorce, her father moved away from San Francisco to Los Angelos, and Hollie didn't understand why she couldn't go with him. Her father had wanted to take her, but knew her mother wouldn't willingly give her to him, and he knew the system well enough to know that Evelyn would win custody in a court of law, so he settled with having her in the summer and coming to visit once a month. Hollie wasn't too fond of the arrangement, but she was glad that she got to spend her birthday's with her dad in Los Angelos.
After a few years, Hollie got used to living with her mother, but she still resented her due to the fact that she continued to make her take dance classes. She ended up convincing her mother to let her play soccer, which was a sport she had always wanted to play, on the premise that it would help her keep in shape for dance. Not to mention that it increased the possibility of her getting hurt and never being able to dance again. From then on, her life was pretty much the average life of a young girl, school, friends and everything else that comes with growing up. That is until one year ago when she was sixteen years old.
It was at the beginning of her Junior year in high school, and everything was going great for the sixteen year old girl. She was enjoying classes, enjoying friends, and just enjoying life in general. And then she got the worst news she'd ever gotten. Her father had been diagnosed with brain cancer. She couldn't believe it, he was only forty years old. The doctors said he had less than a year to live. He ended up moving back to San Francisco for the last five months of his life. He ended up passing away during February of Hollie's Junior year, and she fell into depression. Her mother finally made her stop taking dance classes, and she was finally able to do what she wanted. Not that she really wanted anything anymore.
The rest of the year, she pretty much kept to herself and didn't really talk to anyone, even her friends. That silence lasted pretty much the whole summer between her jr. and sr. year. But when she came back to school, she seemed to be the same girl that she was before, but in a way, different.
Hollie hated to be bothered. She'd rather people leave her alone when she wanted to be alone. It wasn't that hard to do. And, in turn, Hollie hated bothering others. So when she had walked into the Owlery like no one else mattered, and she could be as loud as she wanted, she felt horrible when she realized that someone else was in there. Someone who probably wanted to be left alone, and came to the Owlery at this time for that exact purpose. And Hollie had ruined that. So when the girl apologized for being in Hollie's way, she felt even worse. "Oh, uh," Hollie wasn't really used to people apologizing to her, especially when there was no apology needed. "Well, uh, you don't have to go, you're not in my way at all." It was true, Hollie didn't really mind her being there. In all honesty, she was somewhat glad that she wasn't alone. Because, truth be told, Hollie was somewhat afraid of owls.Celeb:
It was a ridiculous fear, but she thought their eyes constantly watching was just plain creepy. She didn't mind there being one or two owls around, she absolutely adored her owl Iago, but with all the owls in the Owlery, she got creeped out pretty easily. But the other girl didn't seem to be afraid of the owls, and Hollie liked to be with people who weren't afraid of them. It made her feel somewhat safer. A smile crossed Hollie's face when the girl asked about her owl. "Yes, his name is Iago." Running her hand over his feathers, she continued to answer the girls question. "Well, he was a present for my eleventh birthday, so I've had him for five years now." Looking at the owl on her arm, she smiled at him. "Isn't that right Iago?" He let out another hoot and she laughed lightly.
Looking back at the girl, she tried once again to place a name with the face. She was in the same year, that much she knew, and she knew she wasn't in Ravenclaw. That much was obvious. Not by the girl, but more by Hollie knowing practically everyone in her house, and she'd never seen her in the common room. No, she was in one of the other houses. Slytherin was definitely out, she was way to nice to be in Slytherin. Not that every person in Slytherin was mean, it's just none of them were that nice. So Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were still possibilities. Having a lot of friends in Gryffindor, she was able to pretty much eliminate that house, leaving Hufflepuff. Yes, that had to be it. They must have been in classes together for what, six years now? How she managed not to remember her was odd to Hollie. But hey, you can't remember everyone, can you?
The next question the girl asked kind of took Hollie aback. She had managed to remember her name. Even though Hollie was pretty sure she had never directly interacted with the girl. And Hollie had just assumed since she couldn't remember the girls name, the girl wouldn't have remembered hers. It wouldn't be the first time she was wrong though, and it most certainly wasn't the last. "Yes, my name is Hollie." Raking her brain one last time in a desperate attempt to figure out the girls name, she let out a small sigh. "I'm sorry," she said, "but I can't seem to remember your name." Once the girl said it, Hollie would probably feel like an idiot. Like she knew the answer, but just couldn't remember it. She hated that feeling, and now she was feeling just that. But she wouldn't let it get to her.
Hollie felt kind of awkward standing there with the girl, now that she knew Hollie's name, and Hollie was still clueless as to the girls. She couldn't believe that her mind would betray her like that. Never before had it done that. Well, not never, but it was a rare occurrence. And she really didn't like it. But there was nothing she could do about it, so she just looked back at Iago, a familiar face. When the girl asked what Hollie was doing here at this time, she smiled. "I could ask you the same thing." she said, jokingly. "No, I just had some extra time, and I hadn't written home in a while, so I figured it's now or never." she laughed lightly, looking at the girl. "It was just easier to come now then put it off and not have time to do it later. And yes, I do believe that most people are down at dinner by now." At least she assumed that's what the empty halls at that time had indicated. Of course, everyone else could have just disappeared, and they were the only two left, but that was highly unlikely.
