" I grew up an only child so it's awesome to have cousins like Mia who are close to my own age. Coming to Central, which is so close to my hometown of Las Vegas, I was afraid, yet exhilarated, to be hiding out so close to home. Yes, I told my parents that I had transferred to a school out here and no one knows any different. I came here because I actually have family here. Mia figured out what I was doing a long time ago because, well, the girl isn't stupid. She was the one I could tell of what I've seen and where I've been. She kept the postcards I sent her hidden from her parents who would call up mine in a heartbeat, which I want to avoid. Her mother had told me that she was having a difficult time adjusting to the new surrounding and that was a good enough reason for me to stop here.
