I saw this on some other school forum, and I found it relatively interesting.

Your character's name: Why'd you choose it? What's the history?
Your real-life name: You can add this in if you want. You don't have to say your actual name if you don't want to, but why did you parents choose it? What's the history?

Your character's name:Well,when I came up with Haley,I was Senior in high school and I was sitting in study hall during the morning,I was bored and I was dabbling in a piece of paper because I did not want be there. So me and two of my closest friends were having conversation what would we name our daughters, I came up with the name Haley because it is a beautiful name and also it is beautiful English name,it means The Hay Clearing. So yeah, thats how name Haley came around ever since then I used it for different incarnations of this charrie.

Your real-life name: Ashley . My parents are special in a good way,my Mother is big Margaret Mitchell fan and even bigger fan of Gone with the Wind. In the book, there is a guy name Ashley Wilkes and my mom though Ashley would make cute girl name so she named after character in gone with the Wind. So my Ma is dork, and I'm named after character Gone with the Wind. But I'm proud of it though because I'm a Southern Girl and proud!

Your character's name: Jessenia- In all honesty, I've really wanted a character with a latina sounding name, but I didn't want one of those simple ones that you hear everywhere. It probably took me a few days searching through sites, before remember 20000-names.com, and then another day going through their names, before settling on Jessenia, because it could be shortened easily, and it sounds so pretty.
Your character's name: Caelum, on the other hand... Her entire name is either latin, or a version of latin. Caelum was easy, as I've had other characters named this-with basically her information, so she was an already created girl. Caelum is latin for Sky, which fits for her, because in all honesty-Cael's only limit is the sky. Her middle name is Bella, or beautiful, which I use to more refer to the beauty and cleanness of her soul, and the way she almost remains untainted by the mostly ugliness of the world-key word on mostly. And finally. Her last name, Knoxx, now it's made to be a more modern form of Nox, which is latin for night, and Cael's favorite time of day. So mostly I just used her personality and such to create her name, and edited it to make it flow better xD
Your real-life name: Krystiana-My mother thought I was a boy for most of the time she was carrying me-so she was going to name me Christopher after one of her closest guy friends. When they found out I was a girl they were struggling to come up with a new name-because you can't call a girl Christopher. Eventually they managed to twist and prod, and came up with Krystiana. but then they spent weeks trying to figure out my middle name, Nicole. Eventually my mother over heard one of her sisters talking about a friend who had a new baby girl that they named Nicole. My mother tried it out with my first name, deemed it acceptable, and thus I was named, krystiana nicole _________.

Character's name:
well, i knew i was going for a character that was partly Mexican. i already had my pb and so i started thinking. if i'm going for a classic, he should have a rich family. but how does a mexican family get rich in america? so, i first actually thought about the whole history behind my charrie. when i finally decided that he would be the 4th generation of his family in america, i figured that his name shouldn't be completely Spanish anymore. why? well that's obvious i think. if you move to france for example, will your great-grandchild still have an american name? i figured not. that's how i came up with josh. though i thought that they would probably still want him to be reminded of how they gathered their fortune and also remind him where he's from. luìz, his middle name, is the name of his great grandfather, the man who came to america and started their company. without his efforts, they would still be in mexico.
and barrera, well, that's pretty much just a last name i picked up somewhere (:

Hmm, I wanted to have a character with German heritage, so as usual I typed up 'german names' into google, and started browsing the first site. i liked the name edmund even before i saw it there, and i found Kaiser by searching 'german surnames', and i looked at the meanings, and Kaiser means ruler, as in Caesar I guess. i picked claus randomly in the name list, and bam! edmun claus kaiser was brought to life.
