i put niki forward as either an enemy or someone who pushes her with drugs etc. or both ... xD they might know each other from their families, niki's family is quite rich and right in with most of the rich families of central. her father died a while back, but her mother makes an effort with the other families, as her father did when he was alive. but yeah. or they might be able to be secret friends, actually i think that would be fun, but it's all up to you of cause, i don't mind. xD

Not sure if you still want some type of 'love interest' for her but a plot I was thinking of is: Since the two are in high school and fall under the same clique they see a lot of each other. The two become attracted to one another but are unsure if they want it to be a commitment due to Brenden fearing the whole 'commitment' thing. They hook up but keep it a secret. Of course Brenden doesn't do anything, besides the occasional flirting, with any other girl but he also doesn't act like he's taken. Hiding this relationship from others means that they text and such in front of company and sneak off to meet each other if need be. She wants more attention than that though and is tired of him just playing the field so maybe she gets jealous when she catches him flirting with a different girl and wants to know why he won't open up to her more so he gets all mad while in the process trying to push her away. Of course he soon realizes she is right and we can take it from there but this should make for a little interesting drama.
