Like most members in his family, Leo has a very distinct, memorable face shape. The first thing that's noticeable is his jaw, which is very pronounced and strong. His overall face shape is almost an oval, but it's very proportionate so it's not overly long or wide or anything like that. When he smiles, his chin splits with this little cleft that some find endearing, but that he doesn't really like himself. His skin is generally good and healthy, except for the occasional zits that plague every teenager. His complexion is directly inherited from his mother's side of the family, as she is Italian and Native American. He has a lightly tanned color about him year-round, and in the summer he can get even more darkly tanned because his skin is prone to tanning. It almost gives him an exotic appeal, which sets him apart from most of his other family on his dad's side. His cheekbones sit pretty well on his face, but they are in no way prominent and can only be noticed if he tilts and lifts his head in a certain way. They do suit his facial structure, however. Overall, people who know both his mother and his father will tell him that he resembles his mother a little more, but he certainly has key attributes that he an credit to his father and his father's side of the family.

His hair has always been something that set him apart, even if it was only by a little bit. Leo has very thick, nearly blue-black hair that he's never been allowed to let grow past his ears; his parents think that would be sloppy of him. It's very soft to the touch and always has a natural sheen to it that makes it look extremely healthy. His hair is almost exactly identical to his mother's. He keeps it at a long enough length to be able to spike it into a small fauxhawk, which is acceptable and stylish looking in his mind. It always looks deconstructed and messy, as if he didn't really try in the morning, and in fact he doesn't. Leo just wakes up, showers, runs his hands in his hair with a little gel and product, and he's good to go. He never spends too much time on the mop on his head. It just arranges itself casually and he wouldn't change it if he could.

His eyes rest between two well-shaped brows. He's been teased about his eyebrows before because they look like they've been groomed to some extent, but he's never actually done anything to them. They are just tame and they fit his face just right. His eyes are deep-set into his face, which makes them look that much deeper. Leo's eyes are like liquid chocolate, both scintillating and soulful. They're also filled with a bright gleam that makes him look full-of-life, which is exactly the way he is. In any case, his eyes are the feature that usually draw people in, because they can be very light and sparkling or deep and arresting, as if he's constantly thinking about something. That intensity is never intentional, but it's fitting in a way. His eyes are a little on the small side which can make him look like he's squinting sometimes, and they're slightly almond shaped; that is also something that he's gotten from his mother and her dark blood. Both his eyes and brows display a varying range of emotions, and they're both very expressive, so you can usually tell what he's thinking or feeling. It's an endearing quality.

Leo's nose is straight and strong, with a bridge that's not very prominent when you look at him full-on. The base of his nose widens, but his nostrils are placed close together so it almost gives a button-nose effect. He's been told countless times that his nose is 'adorable', which he shrugs off, and if he hears it from his cousins he usually knocks them a round a little. This nose leads down to a pair of full, well-shaped lips. They're not too wide or broad, or too big or too small - they fit his face well and almost give him a pouting look when combined with his dark eyes. If he doesn't smile with his teeth, the close-lipped smile ends up crooked and almost like a smirk. Usually he does flash his pearly whites, however, and his smile is charmingly crooked. He isn't afraid to toss it around, and you can almost always see him smiling and laughing.

Leo's body is very toned and fit, as a result of his many years of dedicated soccer player. He started the sport when he was very young every summer in Italy, and it was one of the few things that remained constant in his life. It's one of his deepest passions. Leo's also very big on working out, and he exercises as much as he can every day. He also eats healthy, even though he has to force himself to do so. His arms have become quite buff and he has complete washboard abs too. His legs are muscular too, due to all the running and kicking needed in soccer. He doesn't really flaunt his figure, because that kind of stuff isn't what he's focused on. Yeah, he's good looking and he knows that his body is incredible for his age, but he doesn't see that as a reason for him to walk around topless and try to get girls. He generally dresses in clothing that fit him well, as opposed to tight-fitting things that would accentuate his figure.

When it comes to clothing, he's a pretty laid-back guy. He wears a wide, varying range of styles, and he definitely doesn't stick to the 'prep' image that he's made to fit in. Leo is not afraid of bright colors and he wears them comfortably, and he likes to take fashion risks and wear something that no one else has worn before. He's pretty much a jeans and a v-neck sort of a guy, but he really likes button-down shirts that have funky designs on them or bright patchworks of colors. He also likes sweaters and vests, and sweater vests as well. Leo wears scarves and ties casually, and he's a big fan of sweatshirts and zip-up hoodies too. He doesn't stress too much about what he wears, and he doesn't adhere to one style enough to be labeled. Leo happens to clean up very well, too, and he can look quite dashing in a suit or a tux - he puts his own spin on the classic style and radiates confidence and sense of self in whatever he wears.

Personality:

First and foremost, Leo is friendly. He has always been an outgoing individual, running up to strangers with a lopsided grin and a bright greeting. He has no inhibitions when it comes to meeting people, and he loves to do so. He's got a warmth about him that makes people gravitate toward him, and he welcomes them with open arms. There isn't a single harsh or negative thing about the way that he acts or receives people, and he would like to think that he can soothe a nervous person if they're new. He has never had problems socially, as he's able to adapt and fit in almost any scenario imaginable. He's very lively and slightly loud and boisterous, as he's inherited from his Italian half of the family. His egregious personality has always been a major part of who he is.

Leo has a very protective side, and he is naturally aggressive over those that he's sheltered. He's always protected his little sister from any harm, as well as his favorite cousin Bella, so after his sister passed away that sense of protectiveness only heightened to an extreme. He gets extremely sensitive and touchy when it comes to issues of safety for those he loves. He's willing to risk an arm and a leg to make sure that everyone except for himself is looked after. He protects his family fiercely, and fights to the death for his friends. He tends to 'adopt' people who are younger than him as her younger siblings since he is an only child now (and in place of his deceased sister), and that makes him super protective. He won't hesitate to smash someone's nose in if they've hurt his friends. He's very formidable when he's angered, so mostly people try to stay on his good side. He defends his beliefs as well, and he doesn't take shit from people who try to belittle him or where he comes from. the sweetheart that she is, he tries his best to shield people from pain and heartache and keep them happy. He will get in physical fights for his friends, to keep them safe.

Through and through, Leo is a genuine young man. He always comes through and always means what he says and says what he means. He truly has good intentions and he would never do anything to purposefully hurt someone unless they had done something horrible to him. Leo doesn't backstab people, nor does he do anything that's fake in any way. He hates when people do things half-heartedly or when they do it insincerely. Everything he does comes from his heart, and he thinks before he acts. It's refreshing to meet a young man like him, who's genuine all the way. He stays true to himself, refusing to conform to please others. He thinks that acting like something your not is a waste of life as yourself, and he would never do it. If he says sorry, that means he meant it. There isn't any second-guessing with Leo, he's very upfront and genuine.

Really, Leo is honest. He makes it clear that he can't tolerate liars, because that loses trust for him. Why should be believe someone who was so willing to bend the truth to fit them? To Leo, a lie is the ultimate sign of weak character. If you aren't strong enough to tell the truth about something, then you aren't strong enough for a lot of things in his mind. The one good thing about him is that you can always come to him about anything and talk, and know that he's almost always telling the honest truth. He knows how to use a white lie to save himself or to protect someone's feelings, but he doesn't like to do it unless it's necessary. Just don't lie to him - Leo feels that those who are able to lie to his face don't think that he's good enough to tell the truth to, and that personally offends him.

Once you've won him over, Leo is as loyal as a dog. Life changes, but he refuses to give up on what he holds dearest. his fiercely loyal nature is a comforting thing to some people, because he will always be there. After all that he's been through, Leo is a very strong boy. He doesn't let things get to him and he works through problems with her eyes narrowed and her jaw set. she has strong bones and doesn't bruise easily, thanks to the many things she's gone through. He can handle a lot of pressure and still put others first, because He's grown into such a tough person. He does have a vulnerable side though, and that comes through when he's completely broken down. only his mom and dad and a few close family members have ever seen him cry. He tries to hide his emotions and be as strong as possible. He knows that life is a live and learn sort of a thing, and he works hard to keep that perspective. He almost challenges the bad things in his life, as if saying "is that the best you can do to me?" it's inspirational how courageous and strong he can be, but everyone's hiding a weaker side and that's certainly the side for Leo.

He's gone through a lot of things in his life, but Leo is unafraid. He faces his problems with his chin up. And his back straight, and he gets through them as well as he can. she jumps into things without thinking about it, and loves to pull people along with a grin. people have described him as fearless, and he likes that adjective a lot. He wants to be fearless when it comes to love, plunging in headfirst without hesitation. like every teenage he has his fears, but he tries not to pay too much attention to them. He has this quiet resilience about him that makes him seem that much stronger, and unafraid. He takes on challenges, does things he's never done, and walks into the unknown with a can-do attitude. Leo is also very persistent about his beliefs - if he truly believes that something is against his morals, he goes all out against it. For example, he's strongly opposed to drugs since that's how his sister died.

Generally, Leo is a laid-back young man. It takes a lot to stress him out, which can get on people's nerves. You can hardly get a reaction out of him, and his behavior is refreshing. People find it relaxing to be around him, because he always slows things down and takes it easy. He enjoys mellow music and long drives, things that suit his personality. Leo doesn't like being stressed or having too much burden, so he tries to remove himself from as much drama and grief as he can. Long car trips to absolutely nowhere are his favorite, because those are often the ones to remember. Living with a free-spirit allows him to see a lot of beauty that others might miss, and he's grateful for all the things he's done and excited for all the things he's yet to do.

This young man is very adventurous. He's always looking for the next big thing to do. He doesn't get into a lot of trouble, but every time he decides to do something a little on the wild side it's something to be remembered. He dreams big, and unlike most people he actually acts on those dreams. He loves doing outdoorsy things that would fall under the category of new, and exciting, and adventurous, and he never backs down from a good challenge. It makes him very lively, for sure. His drive for action (endless action flicks and comic books, anyone?) has also fueled a strong ambitious drive. He wants to travel the world, backpack across mountains, sail over oceans and just see everything through his own eyes. He's also very curious and intellectually driven; he's the kid who will ask "why is this important?" in any subject. His tenacity for adventure also disposes him to having all sorts of fun.

Student leadership positions, public speaking.. none of it is an issue for Leo. He is bold and courageous, usually jumping into things without really thinking about it. He has no problem taking up leadership positions either; he enjoys the feeling of guiding and looking after different people, and taking a situation into his hands. He makes a good leader because he's driven, focused, laid-back, and generally accepting. Leo's got the ability to take a room full of people who disagree and make them all come to one point in a relatively short amount of time. Part of it is his charm, but it's mostly in his quick wit and his ability to see the solution before the problem gets too complicated. He wants to be happy, and he wants to be in love. it's the best feeling for him. It's easy to win his heart, because secretly he's crossing his fingers and wishing for his own romeo and juliet story. He wouldn't say it outright, but it's true.

He's a very gentle young man, who treats people with a delicacy that's touching. He doesn't roughouse too much, unless it's with his teammates, and that's just for kicks. Leo is not only gentle in his touch, but gentle in demeanor as well. He isn't rude or abrasive, he's quite polite and very sweet. It's as if he was raised in a perfect household as a momma's boy, but that certainly isn't the case - in fact, his background wasn't that great. He's still sensitive to the thoughts and feelings of other and does his best to make sure that everyone is comfortable in any given situation. Leo believes in the last vestiges of chivalry and although he doesn't go out of his way to look like a knight in shining armor, it's true that his behavior sets him apart.

Overall, Leo is definitely an individual. He's able to blend in with the rest of the students, but once you meet him he's pretty much unforgettable. It's easy to be around him, and his smile, laugh, easy-going nature, and big heart all make you want to stay. If you get to know him, it'd be worth your time.

History:

Leo had very easy beginnings as a child. Initially, his parents had met and instantly fell in love; James was a middle-class businessman from London, and Sofia was an aspiring chef from Florence, Italy. It was the perfect match; everyone approved and said that they were good for each other. They had two children together, Leo and Jenifer. Both children were dearly loved, as Leo was the proud oldest son and Jenifer was the apple of her father's eye. The siblings were inseparable, and they were each other's best friends growing up; Leo was protective of his sister, and that never changed as they became older. When Leo was about 11, his parents began to uncover secrets and flaws about each other that they had withheld, and slowly but surely he watched his family disintegrate. He wanted to keep Jen away from their parents whenever they got into one of their horrible screaming matches, so he would take her out around the block for ice cream and such.

No matter what they tried, they could not repair their relationship. The Wilkersons had a divorce, splitting their little family in two and devastating the children. They took comfort in spending time with their cousin Isabella, who was the same age as Leo and who was practically another sibling. They promised each other that they would always be there, and protect each other. Leo's father won custody of the children which broke Sofia's heart, but she got them for 3 months in the summer where they would spend time in her country house in Tuscany. She also saw them throughout the year on various occasions; the trips were funded by her new boyfriend, who happens to be a billionaire in Italy. Leo and Jen were raised in a middle-class suburb in London, alongside their cousin Isabella. They didn't mind it, and because of their upbringing in London they retained their distinct British accents.

Things seemed to be going well; the kids were still hurt over their parents' nasty split, but they would be okay with time. They entered their first years of high school, and Leo became even more overprotective of Bella and Jen when he saw the atmosphere; there were so many dangerous things like boys, parties, and substances. He did his best to watch over them while doing his best in school on the soccer team and in various clubs and academic teams, but despite his efforts the two girls got mixed in with a bad crowd. Soon, Jen wasn't listening to him anymore and she was openly defying what he thought; his father wasn't home much, so he had no parental backing when he spoke to his sister.

Jen soon came home with a boyfriend named Shane, who was shady and had a bad reputation around town. Leo threatened him and Jen both, but neither of them listened. One night, Leo was at home doing his homework and watching TV. His father had another long day in the office so he was alone; Jen had gone out with her trashy boyfriend. At about 11 p.m., Leo received the call that would forever change his life and Bella's both. Bella and Jen had gone out to a party with Shane, and Jen had mixed too much alcohol and hard drugs. The police had found her body in one of the rooms after the party had been bust. Leo dropped the phone with shock and couldn't move, finding it hard to breathe for those moments when the truth sank in; Jen was dead. Out of all things, his baby sister, the one girl he had in this world was gone forever.

Leo was heartbroken. For a month, he hardly spoke to anyone besides Bella, who was similarly effected. His grades started slipping in school, his soccer practice attendances became dismal, and his eating habits declined as well. He began to look sickly too, because all he did was beat himself up over his sister's death. His father was also devastated, but there was no one to blame but Jen's poor choices and her boyfriend's bad influence. At the end of that long month, Leo finally got up the courage and strength to find Shane and beat him within an inch of death for what he'd done. Eventually Leo was punished for how badly he'd hurt the other boy, and his father had enough. He made arrangements to send Leo and Bella both to California, where they were to get proper educations. Hopefully the clear air and nice weather could help them put that dark time in their lives behind them. So with heavy hearts, the two teens packed up and moved to the U.S. to start their first year at Lincoln high; their families were strictly middle class and could barely make rent in London, an expensive place. Hillard was out of the question for them. They adjusted pretty well even though they came in through the middle of the year, and it took some time but both of them began to open up a little bit.

It's taken that half of his junior year and the rest of the summer, but Leo's found strength. He's still trying to find peace concerning his sister's untimely death, but he's able to move on and handle the grief better. He still gets torn up on the anniversary of her death, but he does his best. Leo allowed himself to reach his full potential as a young man and now that the schools have merged, he's found a place at Central. He doesn't appreciate the whole tight clique system, but he ignores the restrictions placed on him as a 'jock' and just remains himself no matter what. Right now he's finishing up his senior year and just taking it each day at a time, in the laid-back way that he is.
