Josh is the son of a Mexican father and it shows in his appearance. He has thick, dark, slightly curly hair that he mostly just pushes backwards. He has a quite small nose and has an oval face. He has worn his hair in different styles. His teeth are white and stand nicely in line. His eyes are brown. He has a slightly tanned skin, which is normal with his Mexican roots.

Josh has rich parents, which also shows in his clothing. He wears designer clothes and pays a lot of attention to his appearance. This is because it's pretty much all he has - he's not the smartest person. He likes to wear brightly colored collared shirts. Also, a jeans is a must, whatever he's doing. He always rolls up his sleeves, whether it's a 100°F or only 70°F.

Josh knows that the accessories can make or break an outfit. He always makes sure he has just that right necklace or just the right shades. He's a big fan of the so-called 'dogtags'. You barely ever see him without one. He also adores Ray-Ban sunglasses and aviator sunglasses. You can also see him wearing flip-flops a lot.

Personality:

Josh is handsome and he knows it. Plus, he knows how to use it. Due to this, he's quite an arrogant little brat who considers himself to be better than the rest. He is liked by many but is disliked by just as many. He has problems with being alone. He hates it. He gets lonely quite fast and always desires company. And if possible, pretty company.

Due to the fact that Josh's family is rich, he can afford a lot of stuff. First he buys it, then he shows it off, then he mostly throws it away. Since the day he got his driver's license, he's had 4 different cars. In one year. Josh is also a little crazy. He's started a couple food-fights in the restaurant and he was the one dancing on the table once too. So you could also say he's kind of a troublemaker and a pranker. One of the funny things about him is that he opens his locker by banging the door in a certain way.

Josh knows how to impress a girl. Sometimes he pulls out the keys of his Porsche, sometimes he just whips out an endearing compliment. Either way, Josh knows what the ladies want to hear and he makes sure they hear it. He is incredibly charming and knows which move has to happen when. He has this sort of vibe around him that makes you feel comfortable around him.

Josh isn't very smart, but he compensates for it in every possible way; money, looks, charm, ... His lack of intelligence doesn't hold him back to act very wise in certain situations though. He may not be book-smart, but he knows people. He knows how people react in certain situations. He knows how they behave. And though he doesn't always show it, he can be very sweet and gentle. And actually quite romantic too.

History:

Josh's great-grandfather, Luìz Barrera, was tired of life in Mexico. So, instead of spending his life in the country he was born in, he decided to move to America with his wife and three children. Luìz started to work there in America and after a while he had earned the trust of quite some people. He told them he wanted to start his own business, but he was short on money. So, his friends helped him financially, securing a position for their sons in the company later on.

So, Luìz Barrera started his company, which started out as a pillow- and mattressfactory. The company wasn't so successful, but Luìz died before he could try and enlarge it. His son took over and changed the company. He believed that in electronics like tv and radio, they would find the big money. And he was right! Within ten years, the company had grown over 250% and the profit had gone through the roof! The company kept growing, and when Luìz's son Nico died, Josh's father, Pedro, took over.

Pedro innovated the company even more; he added computers and walkmans to the factory. This caused the company to grow even more! Compared to what Luìz had once started, the company had grown over 800%! The family Barrera, who started out as a poor family from Mexico, was suddenly one of the richest families around!

Because all of this, Josh's early childhood never was difficult. He made friends very easily and got along with girls pretty easy too. Throughout his teenage years, he's proven himself to be a player, a charming, almost irresistible appearance. He's had so many girlfriends, causing him to sometimes even forget one of their names. But when he flashes his cute smile, all is well again.

Josh has 2 brothers and a sister. His sister is the youngest and Josh can't help but to be protective over her, ever since she was born. He has solved quite some problems for her. His brothers are older, so as a kid he always was the one they picked on. He was the target, that's as simple as that. They now both work for the company, but Josh refuses to do so. This has caused a lot of trouble with his father, who is currently in charge of the company. Josh fights a lot with his parents, though in the end he mostly gets what he wants. Always has.

Josh has been spoiled since he was born and there is no sign of change whatsoever. He does very poorly in school, though he always manages to get a step closer to graduation.

With slight... No, no, no. With a lot of effort, Josh lifted his head from his pillow and stook out his hand to the alarm clock. It was 7am on a schoolday. Josh sighed deeply when he noticed he couldn't reach the alarm clock, which obviously meant he would have to move a larger part of his body which would take even more effort. Why wasn't there something like magic? If he could only blow up that little black devil on his nightstand that kept screaming.

BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP

Josh tried to ignore the sound for a second, burying his face deep in his pillow. He sighed again as he failed to ignore the alarm clock. He pulled his sheet over his head in a last effort to ignore the beeping of the clock.

BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBE-

Suddenly it was quiet. The silence seemed deafening after the noise the clock had made. Josh's hand was laying still upon the alarm clock. Josh slowly opened his eyes, blinking a couple times before his vision got sharp. He yawned and scratched his nose, his hand finally moving away from the alarm clock.

'Rise and frickin' shine...' Josh muttered.
The teen got up, stretched out and went on his way to the bathroom. He grinned at the sight of himself. He looked horrible, but still cute. With a sigh, he undressed and got into the shower. After a quarter of an hour, Josh got out and grabbed a towel.
10 minutes later, he looked at a fully dressed Josh Luìz Barrera in the mirror. He got the hairdryer and started to blowdry his thick hair. There was a strange scent in the room, as if something was burning up. It was only 5 minutes later that Josh noticed the hairdryer was smoking.
'Ah, man...' Josh started to swear.
He made sure no power was given to the machine anymore, looked at himself in the mirror and shrugged.
Oh well, still looking pretty good.

He ran down the stairs and with a quick movement, Josh lifted his backpack from the floor. He opened the door to the kitchen, dropped the bag into a corner and looked around the room. His mother was making scrambled eggs, his father was bent over the newspaper trying to solve the puzzles and his little sister had trouble keeping her eyes open while eating a sandwich.

'Mom, I really can't stay for a long breakfast, I'm sorry. I have to pick up a friend on the way to school.'
He quickly grabbed a sandwich, gave his mother a kiss on the cheek and ran to the door again. Josh picked up his bag and looked up. When he saw his baby-sister looking at him, he ran over to her, messed up her hair and ran out of the door.

'Today, I'm taking... the Mercedes!' Josh grinned broadly and took the keys to the Mercedes. Whistling, he walked to the garage - which he opened with the remote. He threw his bag into the car and made himself comfortable.


'I gotta feeling...' Josh muttered, 'That today's going to be a good day.'
