This is another CAUTION post that I've found really helpful. When you've used the same word four times in a post, it's time to shake it up a bit. You'll most likely find a synonym for the word here.

Shocked/Scared Speech "The text," she jabbered. "The text," he gasped. "The text," she whimpered. "The text," he yelped. "The text," she shrieked. "The text," he yelled. "The text," she wailed.
Sad/Sulky Speech "The text," he frumped. "The text," she grumbled. "The text," he muttered. "The text," she sighed. "The text," he moped.
Other "The text," he added. "The text," he interrupted. "The text," he blurted. "The text," he barked. "The text," he replied. "The text," he teased. "The text," he interjected. "The text," he rambled. "The text," he moaned.
