Appearence:
Stephanie May Smith is more of a natural beauty. Not in a way that she is completely beautiful and adored by all men, no. Meaning she wears her hair natural, little makeup and has naturally smooth skin. While some are jealous, others believe she should do something to spice things up. She’ll turn down requests to straighten out her hair or add some liquid eyeliner, she always asks why. She’d prefer not to waste her time on stuff like that, not because she believes she is pretty, but because unlike most of the other Royal Court members, she doesn’t want to be in some (fake) beauty contest every day, always comparing herself to others and what not. Not that she doesn’t wish she looked like others, she does.
Stephanie has hair that’s a mixture between wavy and curly. It does its own little thing. It naturally folds and kinks in a cute and beachy way down to a little past her shoulders, and it’s very relaxed. She grew up with very frizzy hair as a kid, but it settled nicely into something more sophisticated and well, pretty. But no one likes their own hair, so she wouldn’t describe it as that. The colour actually varies, something her dad used to call ‘magic’ hair when she was little. When the light hit it a certain way, it looked fairly blonde, and other times it looked almost brown. So it’s somewhere in between, and she has natural highlights that give it dimension and colour.
Her eyes are a deep brown, a common colour but not an ugly one. She personally hates her eyes, and wishes for green ones because she thinks that they’re very pretty. But her eyes are deep and a lot of times they look as if they are searching for something. If you pay close enough attention, you can tell exactly how she feels through her eyes. When she’s happy they’ll glow in a certain way, because she smiles with her eyes. When she’s sad or mad but doesn’t want to show it, she’ll put on a fake smile but her eyes won’t buy it. And also, when she’s high they sometimes become a little more distant, but usually people won’t think too much of it.
Her eyes are topped off with average length eyelashes, which she wishes were longer, and dark eyebrows. Her eyebrows are browner and not blonde, but some people say they give her eyes some sort of definition. She doesn’t really care. Her eyebrows are the one thing she likes to maintain though, a nice pluck and sometimes wax. Who wants bushes that’ll distract anyone you talk to? No one, that’s right. Her teeth aren’t perfect, but they aren’t screwed up. She said no to braces, and thinks it was the right description. None overlap, but they aren’t all exactly the same size. But they’re still bright pearly whites that are said to brighten up peoples’ days. She normally smiles with a closed mouth though, since she’ll be faking. But her genuine smile is something to see.
Stephanie is pretty short, something she always hated. Sometimes her taller friends would call her shortie, or something like that, but in fact she isn’t too short. Just below average. But it’s proportionate to her weight and body type, and she’s thankful not to be tall and awkward or too short and too round. Stephanie has her ears pierced, twice on the earlobe and her cartilage on one side. She decided not to go overboard on those, since sometimes they can look tacky or wannabe different. She also has a secret tattoo, which she isn’t the greatest at hiding. Some people know about it already. She always wears rings, it’s one of her things. She wears two identical bands on her right middle finger, and under them it says “vivre” in tiny, cursive letters. It’s French for live, a reminder to live life to its fullest. Something she has trouble doing.
Personality:
Stephanie May Smith has two different personalities: the one the world knows, and the one she keeps to herself. She hides part of her because of the fear of what others will think. No one wants to be judged, or classified as something they aren’t, so she portrays herself as the royal court member Stephanie that everyone knows and some people love. The theme song of her life would probably be Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. And I don’t want the world to see me, ‘cause I don’t think that they’d understand . It’s so similar to how she feels it’s scary, and every time she hears that song she shivers. But it would be the most played song on her iPod.
So here is the Stephanie that you all think you know so well: she’s a good student, comes to class, and does her work. She participates in school events, etc. She sets her mind on things so she can accomplish her goals, and she usually does because she’ll work hard for it. Stephanie will go with the flow because what happens happens, and if you start to worry about every little thing you’ll piss her off easily. She won’t act pissed though, she’ll tell you to take a breather and calm down cause everything will turn out fine. Stephanie can sometimes be considered as a pretty wise person when it comes to certain things, but she really isn’t. She would just rather be calm.
Sometimes she gets sick of all the high school drama and just wants to get away from it all. It’s sort of hard with all the cliques and freaks and bitches. But she seems to get by. Stephanie likes to have fun, like all other teens, but won’t make a fool of herself. She likes to party and cut loose, but she wouldn’t let someone take advantage of her. She may be easygoing, but she’s got a firm head on her shoulders. Stephanie isn’t some slutty girl either. She’s not a prude though. She’s the kind of girl who won’t kiss and tell, and if you’re one of those people who just gossip about that stuff like you’re super cool, she will probably secretly not be able to stand you.
She normally is sweet to everyone, gives them smiles and is just normal. But every now and then something will really bother her that someone does, and she’ll let them know. She can have a pretty sharp tongue when she needs to. So don’t be stupid, catty and snobby and you’ll be just fine with her. But wait, aren’t royal court members supposed to be all for the stupid fun, bitchy fights and popularity? Yes, yes and yes. But she’s not like the others, even though she wanted to be way back in freshman year. But after accomplishing that she realized how much she really didn’t like these people. But she’s got everyone fooled for now, and isn’t quite sure what she’s going to do surrounded by all these fake people.
The Stephanie inside of Stephanie (mind boggling), is the one who gets annoyed of all the fakes and stupid fights and popularity. She probably is destined for the rebels but hasn’t found herself and doesn’t plan on just dropping the Royal Court, in fear of what we’ll happen. Since she has a few secrets she doesn’t like to share. For one, she never plans on telling the other Royal Court members that she despises a lot of them, but that’s not all. Stephanie likes to be portrayed as a perfect, smiley girl but she isn’t. She’s a closet druggie, she smokes weed at least once a day. She’s been addicted to the high for a while simply because she can forget her problems. She’s become an expert as masking when she is high though, and it paid off since no one has a clue.
History:
Stephanie was born into a family of three: Lily Smith, her mother, Paul Smith, her father, and Carla Smith, her older sister. They were all loving towards her, taking turns looking after the baby, stuff like that. She was brought up well, and if she could, she rewind to the good ole days of her childhood. All she had to do was sit around and play with toys, eat, sleep, the easy stuff in life. Well a lot has changed since then, and you’ll hear the whole, shortened story of it. Well the easy life may have been the best time, but it’s also the most boring. So moving on to when interesting things started to happen, Stephanie was eleven years old when her whole family was seated at the dinner table, but something was wrong.
The first thing that gave her a hint that something was wrong was that it was not dinnertime. And they were at the dinner table. That was a big clue. The second thing she noticed was the fact that her parents looked somewhat grim and were sitting on opposite ends. The third thing was that she knew what was coming. She’d seen it for a year, and even though she remained hopeful, it was obvious. Her parents were getting a divorce. They told Carla and her, and they took it pretty well. They knew it was going to happen after all the arguments over the stupidest things. But Stephanie wasn’t expecting what happened next. It turned out her dad was moving away, not just around the corner or something. But an hour and a half away? It was a lot for the little her to take in.
Her father did move, but not until she was twelve was he truly settled in. Of course, her mother got primary custody, but Stephanie wasn’t sure she wanted this. She had always been a daddys girl, she clung to her dad and always wanted to be with him. He was funny and protective and just so dad-like. Why did he have to leave? Of course, she saw him a lot still. At least once a month they would spend a weekend at his place, and there was always so little time for too much to say. When she got older, sometimes she would take a train or bus down there alone without telling her mom. She’d just want to go see him; he made everything that ever went wrong better.
Lily never liked this, she grew a dislike for their father. He was too silly, then he was too serious, he was a bad father, anything she could think of. She was desperate to never let them see their father again. Steph didn’t know why her mom had a sudden hatred that was stronger than ever before, maybe it was because she was jealous. Every time she dropped them off at their dads, they would run eagerly to him before being swooped up into a big bear hug. Or maybe, well actually this is most probably the reason, it’s because he found a new woman in his life: a loving, sweetheart that even Stephanie and Carla don’t mind. In fact, they love having her around. Matilda, her dads girlfriend, soon became his fiancée, and then of course his wife and their stepmom when Stephanie was fourteen years old. This pushed her mother over the edge.
Now her mom can only be described with three words: trying too hard. She’s trying too hard at everything, it’s repulsive. It’s just like all the stuck-up bitches at school. It’s terrible. She’ll try and fit in with Carla and Stephanie, and will even wear their kind of clothes, push-up bras, eyeliner, things a mom should not do. Her mom also never has a steady relationship. She just has many, many different guys that she brings on dates and then forgets about. This isn’t setting a good example for her kids, in fact they hate it. Stephanie had a lot of fights with her mom that year, telling her to act her age and everything since it was embarrassing, even if others thought she was a cool mom. But she’d always be brushed off and things would go back to how they were: mom trying to be cool and kids hating it.
It was when Stephanie was fifteen years old that she discovered drugs. Something new, something exciting, an escape from reality. She started off by smoking weed every now and then with her older sister, who had been a druggie – but kept it from her family – for a while. She began to do it more and more, and sometimes she would find over-the-counter drugs that she would take an excessive amount of. Now, a year after, she’s starting to get worse and worse. Somehow, she’s still hiding it. Maybe because she always knows the right time and place to do so, or maybe she’s just getting lucky and is bound to be caught and ruin her perfect image. She doesn’t want that to happen, but it’s something you just can’t stop.

would you be kind enough as to look at Delaney Johnston's sample RP so I do not have to write another one? <3 (:Celeb:

Hi, I'm Lexi. I already made a character recently, I know, Delaney Johnston. But I was planning on making this one too. At like the same time as I made Del. So I just waited a bit, a tiny bit, but I couldn't wait any longer! (:
