Height: 5ft
Appearence:
As a young Freshman, and at only 15 Ariahna is still in the early stages of development. She's a small girl, with a height of only 5ft. She guess that she'll with time grow taller, as her mother is also fairly tall. But, she right now finds her height puts her at a disadvantage and since starting High School, has found it leads to her being at times picked on. However unlike most her age, she has well formed muscles that have developed over many years of dance and gymnastics. Her height she knows she'll get over as it is a minor little thing which will hopefully through time fade away. Her weight is about average. She doesn't have a problem with the weight she's at. She knows that she's at roughly the right weight for her height.Personality:
Ariahna has golden blonde hair, which reaches her shoulders in ringlet curls. It bounces with her step, and is great in cheer-leading. She spends a lot of time on her hair, and this really can be seen. Each curl is perfected and all strands of the golden blonde hair is in place. It's a habit of Aria to be constantly checking her hair and being sure that it's all in place. The golden blonde hair, she knows is one of her most promising features, and likes to at times in classes play up the dumb blonde part. She finds that her having blonde hair gives her freedom, to be whatever she wants. Aria has the belief that Blondes do it better. Coming from a family of Blondes Ariahna was never going to have another hair colour, but finds that over everything else about her, she loves her hair the most. As a nervous habit, Ariahna has a tendency to twist her hair around her finger when she's nervous or worried. If she's feeling stressed, it's pretty easy to tell, since she'll be bouncing a ringlet of her hair constantly. Moving up to the eyes, Ariahna has very distinct eyes. A green rim, which is followed by a yellow colour followed by a light brown colour. It's all blended together but the three colours can be distinctly seen. Ariahna doesn't really like her eyes, while constantly told that her eyes are pretty amazing, Ariahna longs for the deep sea blue eyes that her sister and brother have. Ariahna's eyes are mixture of her mothers and father's mother's. No one else in her family has the same eyes as her. Ariahna could be told over and over that her eyes are amazing, but she'll never believe them.
Being a slight daddy's girl, Ariahna has a sweet smile. With rosy lips. With a small smile and a bat of the eyelids, Ariahna could almost get the world handed to her. Ariahna loves smiling. She finds that a good smile can improve anyone's day. It's why she'll not often be caught without a little lip gloss or lipstick. She doesn't often apply that much make up but, she could never live without her lipstick and lip gloss. Since she currently resides in the sunny Area of California Ariahna has lightly tanned skin. With Scottish roots however her ability to tan well is practically non-existent. She is more likely to burn that tan. She finds this fairly annoying since most in California have great tanned skin.
As a style Ariahna has an incredibly varied style. Not often caught in jeans, Ariahna loves her skirts and shorts. Being sporty, has meant that she owns few dresses and heels. Her favourite outift to wear is a pair of smart black shorts, a pink tank top and black zip cardigan with a low neck cut. This outfit is usually top off with a pair of black ballet flats. Ariahna is the kind of girl who likes to chose style over comfortable, despite the fact she likes sports. However if she's having a bad day, she might be seen in a slightly less smart outfit. Never really trousers. In school, since she plans to be a cheerleader, Ariahna wears her cheer uniform. This eliminates the problem of her having to chose what she wears everyday. Which would be a major problem for the Freshman. For events that require dresses and heels, Ariahna doesn't shy away. In fact she loves the odd smart party where she can show she's not just another cheerleader and show that she is actually pretty.
History:Friendly
Despite her smart and fancy appearance, Ariahna is a very friendly girl. She is smiling almost all the time, and likes to see others smile. She is easy to talk to and doesn't like to see people alone. Despite her Prep status, Ariahna will make a point of saying hello to everyone that she knows. She'll smile at everyone, and gets annoyed with girls who ask her why she'd be friendly to the Geeks and outcasts. Ariahna is the kind of girl who'll go help people if she see that they need help. In a sense, when it comes to being approachable and nice, Ariahna is exactly those things. She works hard to be friendly and not just be a Prep. It actually isn't that hard for her to be that friendly. She has the view that she'd always like to be treated in a friendly manner and so, to do this, she knows she has to be like that around others. Taking all into account Ariahna a friendly girl.Self-Conscious
Like most girls her age, Ariahna has trouble always being happy with how she looks. She'll spend hours getting her hair perfect and making her clothes look perfect. Ariahna isn't the kind of girl who is obviously self-conscious, but she only feels secure in how she looks at Cheer practice. Ariahna has always compared herself to her eldest sister who is in her eyes incredibly beautiful. They have very similar hair which is why Ariahna loves her hair. But apart from that, they don't really look all that similar. Ariahna wants to be just like her sister and so strives to look perfect just like her. Her self-conscious traits can make her at times appear vain and constantly involved in her appearance as she spends a lot of time looking into the mirror and fixing things that to most don't need fixing. If she thinks that she looks close to perfect on any given day, it will give that little confidence boost for the day. Ariahna doesn't like her eye colour and is open about this. She'll complain about her eye colour pretty openly. While to some this may seem stupid when she see her eyes she feels that they aren't perfect because they aren't blue like the rest her sister. While it isn't that apparent on the surface, Ariahna is self-conscious. Ariahna knows that she shouldn't be self-conscious which is why she tries to hide it as much as possible, since she does get embarrassed about it.Calm
While being a cheerleader, Ariahna has a very calm nature about her. It can be seen mostly in classes, she'll appear to be giving the minimum effort while seemingly understanding everything. She's not often stressed, which is why when she is, it's pretty easy to tell that she is. Ariahna will for the role of cheerleader get excited and be a screaming fan girl, but this is really only for show. Inside she's just calm, taking on each day one at a time and never really making any major decision about her future. Ariahna uses the fact she is calm to help hide any other emotions she might be feeling, like fear, or worry. It's also a way for her to mask the fact she's self-conscious. If she looks calm, and looks like she finds everything a breeze, then the last thing they will think is that she is self-conscious. Ariahna doesn't just use her calmness to hide some emotions, she uses it when speaking to new people, and to show to people who think that all cheerleaders are bitches, who jump up and down all the time, that it's false. However around friends she'll act just like them. Overall, in classes and around people who aren't part of her clique, Ariahna is a calm girl.Loyal & Passionate
Once friends with Ariahna she'll fight for the friendship. If you insult one of her close friends, she'll stand up for them. She'll do a 180 and become the kind of girl that would be classed as Bitch. She doesn't appreciate insulting humor and hateful and stereotypical comments towards the Preps. She can handle blonde jokes, and likes some but that's all. Aria is loyal to those around her, and will always be there for her. She knows that some of her friends will be the type to gossip about her since, that's just who they are, but she's okay with that, it's as soon as people insult people who are friends, that Ariahna just doesn't handle. Passion is another trait which is neither a really good one, or a really bad one. She gets very passionate about things like gymnastics or dance. She'll focus on that for any length of time, and she won't stop talking about it. When she becomes more interested in the other sex, Ariahna will be the type to get somewhat obsessed over a boy. She'll believe that any little detail, like a smile, means he likes her. Her slightly obsessive tendencies aren't always so clear, her calm nature means that she can cover it up pretty well, but since she'll talk about it a lot, it soon becomes pretty obvious that she's got a small obsession, but her obsessions do come through as more passion, since she'll always sound like it's more a passion than anything else.Clever
Despite her sometimes lax methods towards most things educational, and her occasional blonde moments both real and fake, Ariahna has a small passion for learning. She is a clever girl who doesn't really even show it in classes. She'll score averagely on tests but this is just because she doesn't always try as hard as she possible can or would. It's not something that actually annoys her. She thinks that since she's a cheerleader that she should be seen as a dumb blonde, but she at times wishes she could show teachers she's better than average. Ariahna has obviously failed some test, she's not perfect and there are some subjects that she's not that great at, but she has worked hardest on them to improve them more than anything. This show her hard-working passionate side, that she doesn't give up until she thinks she's close to perfection in the subject.
Sample Rp:Before Ariahna
Ariahna' mother, Leslie Morrison is a blonde, blue eyed women who grew up in Scotland, UK. She is very hard working and was at a local college studying to be a beautician. Leslie left high School at 16 to follow her beauty dreams, and during a exchange trip to the US she met her future husband. However Leslie was not actually into the husband at the time. She went back to Scotland finished her degree, before moving to Sunny California to become a famous make-up artist. In a few days of her settling into California she met him once more. It felt pretty weird to run into him again, but Leslie was also very pleased that she had. It was her first friendly and familiar face since she'd arrived. After a few dinner dates, the two got together. And married when Leslie turned 24.
Ariahna's father was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also a golden blonde with blue eyes. His name is Elijah Northwood. After a ruff start in life, Elijah was able to get himself a place at the University of California. Elijah felt weird about leaving behind his family and going to university. Mainly as he is very pro family. He tries his hardest to always be aware of everything that is going on in each persons life. After his first year, he met Leslie and felt an instant spark. To him she was nothing but perfect. Which was odd for him to say, since he'd never really been that interested in finding a partner. He'd been too focused on education and taking care of his family. He was at the University of California studying Biochemistry. Which took a lot of work, and yet this girl had caught his eye. Obviously when she left, he was a little upset but glad that he could continue his studies without distraction. However two years down the line in his final year of studies he ran into her again. Obviously he thought it was a little odd that he had, but he was none the less glad that he had. Elijah worked hard at the relationship and every date they went on, and as time went on, he found it easier and that he didn't have to put in as much effort into everything. He proposed and married Leslie when he was 23 years old and starting his first job in a lab.
Leslie fell pregnant for the first time not long after they were married. She lost her first baby, very early on which through them both off a bit, but Leslie fell pregnant again not too long after. The first Northwood child was born on the 14th August 1990. Her name is Clarissa Stefina Northwood. She is a blonde with blue eyes and right now, is at the university of Texas studying English. She wishes to be a teacher. After Clarissa, they had a second child. A boy this time, who took after his dad more than anything. His name is Mitchell Thomas Northwood. He was born on the 2nd October 1992. He just graduated from High School and is taking a year out to travel around Europe. He's very hard working, and smart. He was a Nerd at school and will follow his dad and go to the University of California to study biochemistry.
The last Child to be born of the Northwood's is Ariahna Kayley Northwood. She was born on the 31st January 1996.Ariahna Northwood
Born on the 31st January Ariahna was born into a comfortable lifestyle. Her mom was working part time at a local beauty salon and her father worked in a lab. Ariahna was not a noisy child, but actually rather quiet. She was well behaved and had very few tantrums. Ariahna quickly grew and was always following her eldest sister around. She learned to write before most others, by coping what her sister was doing when she wrote. Ariahna was often pushed away by her sister who didn't really want to spend all that much time with Ariahna. Aria still persevered with her sister. She started pre-school and instantly loved the sporting side of school and the more creative side, like English and music. She was able to get a few friends and was able to develop more as a person she was around other people who were not her sister. Grade school, followed not long after. This was where she started dancing, and gymnastics. She quickly learned that both required a lot of discipline and this was something that she really had to work a lot more on, since she liked most of the time to do things her way. In Grade school, Ariahna began to come under the stereotype of a prep since she had most of the qualities, and had joined the junior cheer squad. She didn't mind the stereotype as it had been like her sister. Ariahna was the last of her family to attend the school, and since both her siblings had already been through the education, her teachers all talked about her great her siblings were and how they expected so much from Ariahna. This annoyed Ariahna as well as motivated her to do more and be better to outshine her siblings. Ariahna tired extremely hard, and at times was better and then others was not as good as they were. It was why in the two years before High School and as a Freshman Ariahna tried hard but not as hard as she possibly could. Her cheer-leading skills have gotten on pretty well, and she hopes to continue them in High School.
With both her siblings now away, Ariahna is a little lost at what she is meant to do. Since they were around almost all the time she had someone to constantly model herself upon, but now alone in High School, Ariahna is finding it nice to be forming her own image that was not primarily based on her siblings. Her sister more than anything. Ariahna has a number of friends in High School, but is always looking to speak to others and be friends with others around her. Ariahna has discovered through Grade school and the start of High school that the only real problem in her life are those people around her who pretend to be her friends but really aren't. Both her parents have gotten to be a little worried about Ariahna as they realise that she isn't trying as hard as she could be in classes, and they are afraid that she'll continue this and not really ever amount to everything. They aren't giving Ariahna the option of not going to college or University. This kind of pressure is a reason why Ariahna isn't trying as hard as she could be. Her way of dealing with pressure is pretending that she isn't as good as she could be at times and just being the average. It's her way of keeping with the group she's in and not trying to be the best or over take anyone. She knows that being a prep makes her pretty far up on the social ladder and she doesn't want to go any further. As a Freshman, not much has happened in her life that has made her really change, her parents have the normal arguments that most have, and she feels alone at home, but overall her life has been pretty smooth sailing so far. However as Ariahna has become more aware of the world around her, she has realised that there are a number of problems within her family. The fact that her father only has siblings and has never once mentioned grandparents, and that her mother traveled so far from home and hasn't really been back. Only calls of webchats.
The first day of anything whether it be work, school or driving was always the most difficult. It was a day filled with endless possibilities. Less with driving and more with work or school. The first day of work however was not what Ariahna Kayley Northwood was about to go through. No, She had her very first day of High School in front of her. Usually meeting new people didn't really phase her but this was different. This was high school. The dry run for the rest of her life. And Ariahna was nervous. She knew that her entire life rode upon how she made her mark in high School. What social group she joined, what friends she made and the classes she did. All in all, it was going to be an experience and a half. She knew that while most would dread the first day, Ariahna had been looking forward to it. Both her siblings had already gone through the school and now it was her turn. She would not have either to help her out. She would be alone in the school, and ready to learn. She would be able to try out to be a cheerleader and show how hard she had worked to be remotely good enough to be considered. Ariahna was ready for what awaited her in high school she was ready for the next stage of her life. Obviously she had to remember that High School was only four years and that as soon as she knew it, it would all be over. His mind was ready for what lay ahead. She had her bag ready, she had her cheer outfit, hopeful of getting a place, and three hours before school began Ariahna was ready. She'd chosen a very simple outfit for her first day. Obviously she had to look her best, and she decided that She would go in on the first and make a great impression. For this she had chosen a high waist black skirt, with a tucked in white t-shirt with mickey mouse on it, it had long sleeves that were of a beige colour, but Ariahna had rolled them up, and red jacket blazer on top. She had low rise boots, with white socks, covering the rim of the shoes. Overall, Ariahna was quite pleased with how she looked, she imagined that her outfit was very High School, and she no longer had the grade school tag carried with her.Celeb:
With a simple and small breakfast eaten, Ariahna just had time to fix the small lose strands of her hair, before taking her school bag and heading out the door. She had taken the time that morning to really get her hair as perfect as it could be, and to apply a little make up. She knew that if she was going to cheer-leading that a lot of make up would be of no use to her, so she spent more time on her hair. Overall, Ariahna was quite pleased about how she looked that morning. It gave her confidence. She now felt like she could call herself Freshman. The young Freshman walked to school. She had one hand in her pocket and the other was holding on to the strap of her bag. With each step that she took, Ariahna felt more and more nervous. It was as if the closer she got to the school, the less her mind wanted her to be there. She knew it wouldn't be a breeze. She was aware that it would be the most difficult 4 years of her young life. But, she was ready. Ready for the drama, the friends. The boyfriends. The teachers, the homework. Everything. Just starting was difficult part. She had to make it through the day. Ariahna believed that if she managed it once, she could manage it over and over. Just breathe, she reminded herself. Breathe and all will be fine. Ariahna was glad that she lived in sunny California. The sun was hitting her skin and calming her down slightly. She loved the warmth and she loved watching the sky brighten as it got high and higher into the sky. Ariahna knew she could've gotten a lift from her dad as he headed to work, but she liked the walk. It was quiet, it was a nice area and it was a good walk. When she got to be 5 minutes away from the school, she became aware of how there were distinctly more young people. Some in cars, motorbikes. Bicycles, and then some walking. There were groups of girls walking and chatting. Giggling away. She felt even more nervous now. These girls. In a year, two years, or even three years, she would be one of them. Arriving for the first day of the year with lots to discuss with friends, even though she'd spoken to them on the phone the night before. High School. This was it.
It didn't take long for her to reach the entrance of the school. It was noisy. There were yellow and black buses dropping students off at the school. It was crazy, there were just so many people. Ariahna really hoped that she wouldn't get lost in the crowd. There really were so many. She was on the opposite side of the road. Waiting to cross, but really just standing in awe at the building before her. It was amazing. It looked huge and it looked pretty much like an amazing place to be. Ariahna took a deep breath and carefully crossed the road. She walked to entrance, and stepped into the school. In there it was even busier than normal. Grade school was not like this. She was pushed past. A soccer ball was thrown over her head. It was all crazy. She had no idea how any form of order could be found in a place like this. She had to find the other Freshman, the people in her year. Ariahna then noticed a banner, which read Freshman, head to the auditorium Ariahna smiled. She knew where that was. She'd been to the school on a visit, and remembered where a number of the places in the school were. She carefully walked, smiling as she made her way. Avoiding bumping into people and just trying to get to the auditorium. She had begun worrying about her hair. If it was okay, or if this amount of people had cause one of her curls to become lose. The golden blonde had not taken into consideration that the school would be this busy and that this busy could cause her hair to fall flat. She spotted the auditorium door, and practically ran to it. She opened the door and walked inside. She was glad to see a few other Freshman were there. She smiled and then made her way to an empty seat. Here she was. Ariahna Northwood was scared and nervous, but she had never been more ready. This was it. High School, and Ariahna was ready to be classed as Freshman and begin her life.
