Appearence:
Mitchell David Carlson is the kind of guy that you don’t go, ‘oh my goodness he is so amazingly hot’, at first glance. No, he’s not the classic big and buff or skater shady you see around all the time. He’s a different kind of attractive, the kind that after you get to know you think he’s really cute. Whether it’s just him of girls realize his shyness and think it’s cute, he is considered cute every now and then. But you never know, maybe the girls aren’t attracted to his different features, but more his different personality. Either way, this is what Mitchell, or Mitch, looks like.Personality:
Unless he cuts it super short, Mitchell’s hair is curly. Not overly fizzy and humorous afro, no. But tighter, softer curls that aren’t even long enough to fall. He keeps his hair somewhat short, so he doesn’t have that skater look with the hair in the eyes that blocks your face, he doesn’t understand why this is attractive to some people. He prefers to be able to see people when he talks, even though he is shy at (most) times. His hair is also very dark brown, although easily mistaken for black. But in fact, it is not. From afar, you would think it is black, but especially in the sun, you can see it shining brown.
Moving further down his face, you’ll meet his eyes. A lot of times he’ll avert them from yours, but when you catch a glimpse of them you’ll realize they are a nice deep brown. The kind that many people have, it’s somewhat boring. He would love to have a different eye colour, something more different then the same old, same old. But at times, people can find themselves lost in deep, dark eyes. Because they can be pretty intense. A lot of times, you can tell Mitchell’s thoughts through his eyes, because they cannot tell a lie. When he’s sad, you’d be able to tell. And when he’s smiling genuinely, it always reaches his eyes and they shine in a way.
Mitchell has an average nose, nothing exotic or European with an interesting and intriguing structure, just a plain straight-down nose that ends with no curve, nothing. Sometimes he thinks it’s boring, other times he is thankful not to have something huge. But every now and then he’ll look and the mirror and think that his nose is too small for his face. This is always in the eye of the beholder, but of course it may just be him being self conscious. He has a sharp and defined jaw, it’s mature and shapes his face in a nice way. His cheek bones slant down to it, and it is slightly squared. But it isn’t boxy, yet it also isn’t round. Somewhere in between, as if it rounds into a box.
Mitchell spent a while with crooked and gappy teeth, they weren’t horrendous, but definitely far from perfect. In grade seven he was granted with braces, and lots of work, which his parents insisted of course. Now, he has almost perfect teeth. Almost, because after he got them off in grade nine, and he refused to maintain the retainers and what not, a tiny gap reformed between his teeth. Although he thinks it is far too obvious, and his mother noticed one day and tried to convince him to get braces again, he left it and no one even notices. Unless you narrow your eyes and inspect his mouth very carefully. Mitchell also has a classic, cute half-smile which is slanted and easy to mistake.
Mitchell is average height, not too short and not incredibly tall. He is taller than most of the girls he knows, but there has always been a couple here and there. But they were pretty tall. He’s happy with his height, one of the few things he actually likes. Since he fits in with the guys, not shorter than them, and he is taller than the girls, but also not a giant. Just average, something he likes to be, since he likes to blend into the crown, which he has gotten pretty good at.
Mitchell isn’t hard to understand, in fact, once you talk to him once or twice you’ll be able to figure out just what kind of guy he is. There are a few main characteristics of his, some that only appear around certain types of people or specific people. These would be: shy, modest, caring and loving, helpful, and even fun. They might not all fit together perfectly, but it’s who he is. He is different from a lot of his friends, who are more outspoken, loud and confident. But he’s unique, yet still manages to fit in with the jocks and who they hang out with. He is happy for this, because he likes having friends, of course, like any normal high school teenager.History:
SHY: As you may have predicted, the people he is mainly shy around are in fact, the opposite gender, girls. He just gets nervous, especially around ones that are pretty or nice, and even more around the one that he may like. But if you’re his friend and a girl, you’ll get to see the more fun and friendly, protective side of him as he opens up to you. But if you aren’t close to him, or he may like you or think you’re pretty, you’ll get the guy who blushes, stumbles on his words and apologizes a lot, getting nervous and embarrassed. You’ll either love him and think it’s cute, or move on to more confident and flirty guys if you get annoyed.
MODEST: This ties in with his shyness a bit, and is pretty basic and understandable. Almost self-explanatory even. If you compliment him, all you’ll get is a blush, and either a modest thanks or he’ll dodge and mumble something nervously. Unless you’re his close friend, then he might just brush you off with a laugh or a scoff in return. Basically, if you compliment him, expect him to become nervous.
CARING: (and/or loving). He is a very caring guy, whether you’re a friend, acquaintance, stranger, or lover, he’ll love you just the same. An enemy, perhaps not. But he will look out for those he cares for, trying to keep them out of harm and giving them a shoulder to lean on when they need it. He’ll offer good advice and do anything he can to help you when you need it, he’s like the go-to friend because he’ll be all ears about any problem you’re having. He’d drop everything to help a friend in need, and risk it all for them. He’s a very passionate guy.
HELPFUL: Same as caring, he’ll do whatever you need him to if you mean something to him. He’s the kind of guy you can ask anything, he won’t judge you. He gives pretty wise advice, since he’s pretty mature and knows a lot when it comes to people, even though he may be super shy. He knows a lot, but can rarely act upon this knowledge. You could ask him to pick you up coffee before school because you’re tired, and he’ll do it without a complaint, and give it to you expecting nothing in return besides a nice thank you and perhaps a smile.
FUN: Although he is shy, when you get him with just his friends and people he feels comfortable with, he is a different guy. He’s more open, and laughs and smiles more, even cracking a joke every now and then. He also throws kick ass parties, in which people see a side of him they wouldn’t expect from such a shy and sensitive guy. But he knows how kick back and let loose, have a little good times fun when he needs to. He absolutely refuses to become stuck-up like his parents’ friends’ kids he met, he doesn’t want to end up like them at all so tries to spend little time around them.
Mitchell David Carlson comes from a long line of Carlson's. They made their breakthrough in England when they bought an ice cream store that was said to run out of business. Soon, Carlson's Ice Cream became one of the best-selling places and a popular hangout for many. It was instant wealth for the family, and brought much joy. Mitchell's father moved from England to Central after high school, where he opened a new Carlson's Ice Cream there. It was also very popular, and got great business because the weather was usually warm. But the money just kept coming, and David Carlson (Mitchell's father) adored it. He became pretty money-obsessed actually. He fit in well with his high-class generally stuck-up party of friends, mostly businessmen and their wives, and even competed with them in a way. Who had the biggest house, best suit, biggest yatch.Sample Rp:
Enter Elizabeth Hart, his fiancee and the loving mother of Mitchell. They married after a year of dating, knowing it was meant to be. They were friends for a while, but it blossomed into much more. She was high up in a magazine company, very high-fashion and fit right in with his life. She too, adored the money. Although they had this lust for cash and having it all, they were still caring people, and were overjoyed when their only son, Mitchell David Carlson, was born. The heir to the family fortune, and business. Mitchell was a very promising child for them. They were eager to see him grow up advanced, reading difficult books before he should, always challenging his mind. He was their pride and joy, besides their bank accounts of course. He even had play dates with all his parents friends' kids.
Growing up in a mansion of a house, with everything he ever wanted, wasn't as great as it sounds. Sure, he never had to lift a finger if he didn't want to, but he always did. He wasn't like his parents, although he loved them like a child should, all he wanted was to live life on his own. He didn't want to inherit his life, he wanted to earn it, to make it. And mostly, he wanted to do it on his own. When he hit middle school, he really realized this. It was because there was some kind of invisible implication that he absolutely must takeover the family business. Not only did his parents make him start working at the shop when he was in grade eight (which his friends' thought was cool, free ice cream!), but they also mentioned it once or twice.
Mitchell trudged down the sidewalk that led to his home, and turned up the long and winding driveway towards his home. He couldn't help but think about that Beatles song, The Long and Winding Road, every time came up this way. Seeing his mother exiting her car in the garage, he stifled a yawn and straightened, not wanting to be told again about posture. He had just finished a shift at the Ice Cream store, something he hadn't wanted to do. All he wanted to do was go home, do his homework as fast as possible and maybe catch up on his video games. When he entered, his father beamed,
"Mitchell m'boy! Meet Robert. He's a friend of mine, works at the big building down the road. Robert, this is Mitchell, my son." David smiled proudly. "He just got back from working at the store, isn't that right?" Mitchell nodded reluctantly, throwing in a half-smile just to be polite. He nodded towards Robert. "It's looking promising that he'll keep the family tradition going. Good thing to!" David laughed lightly and tossed a wink in Mitchell's direction, before turning and leading Robert around the house. With a sigh, Mitchell's shoulders curled over and he slumped up the stairs. Maybe his video games would help get his mind off things.
After eighth grade had passed, and he worked for most of the summer, he was ready to start out at Central High. He was pretty nervous, even though he would know most of the people. But there was some new people. Mitchell had always been somewhat shy, but only around certain people. He wasn't shy around his good friends. But he was shy around the snobby children of his fathers' friends, and oh yeah, he was pretty shy around girls. He liked them a lot, of course, but he never had the guts to talk to them much. And when he did, he might stumble on his words, or blush. He was a little lost for the first bit of high school, there was so many pretty girls, and so many to be afraid of. Some were bold and confident, and they were so pretty. His first year, he joined sports teams and made plenty of friends. But he still found himself nervous around girls.
In his sophomore year, he threw a big party at his big house. It wasn't his idea, a friend had talked him into it after her invited him over one day. Plenty of people showed up, and things got pretty crazy. He even got pretty crazy, and found out he was pretty confident when he was a little buzzed. He even flirted with girls whose names he couldn't even remember the next day. It was an amazing experience for him. That same year, he had his first girlfriend. She was perfect, her name was Jennifer and she was a cheerleader. They were such a classic and cute couple it was almost sickening. But then, Jennifer's dad got a job in another state, and she moved that summer, leaving Mitchell deflated and sad. They had been pretty serious, and he loved her very much. The whole summer he was a little bummed out, but when he got to his Junior year he tried to snap out of it and get a hold of himself. It worked, and he threw more parties. Although he was still very shy, and he didn't talk to most of the people who showed up, they still did, mainly because a party at his house was a great one.
So Mitchell ended up being used a lot for his house or money, but he didn't really care in the end. He never got over his shyness, but managed to have a couple relationships before the present, where he is now single. He even had a fling or two, with girls who were really special, but ended up not being the commitment type. He was a little sad about those two, but learned to move on. Now, he's still the cute and shy guy who sometimes finds it hard to talk to pretty girls, even when they're younger than him. He's an attractive enough jock, and he's had people flirt with him plenty of times. This either made him blush, scared or nervous. Scared when he didn't like them, nervous when he thought they were cute or nice. But he tries, sometimes fails, but at least he tries.
