Appearance:
Cassandra is one of the shortest people she knows, standing at one five foot, four inches. She gets the lack of height from both her parents, but it's nothing she complains about, because she's accustomed to it and accommodated by wearing heels constantly. Generally, her long, wavy brown is worn loose, with the exception of the occasional up-do or ponytail when she's at work or doin something that requires dirty work, like trying to figure out something in her car that's not working. Cassie's brown eyes are usually outlined in some sort make up, consisting mostly of eyeliner or eye shadow. She's not really a girly girl, but indeed loves to dress up for special events like parties and weddings, as well as dolling her daughter up.Personality:
For the most part, Cassie dresses the normal part of a college kid. She'll easily wear a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but she'll try to mix it up. While she doesn't shop at the most expensive stores like Hollister (in fact, she's rather proud of the fact that she still shops at the Goodwill or Salvation Army), it doesn't mean she doesn't add a few aspects of her own particular taste. In El Salvador, color was always embodied, and Cassie firmly believes that. Most of her outfits will have a little splash of color here or there.
Speaking of El Salvador, Cassandra always adds a little bit of home to her outfits as well, usually in the form of jewelry, shoes, or accessories. If she were to be wearing just a plain white dress, she would add a colorful "El Salvador" head band, and wear her bright blue and white sandals she bought from there. Pride in her country is one thing she doesn't mind adorning on her body.
As for tattoos and body art, Cassie has a tattoo on her left arm of a sentence in Chinese that reads "Do the impossible, for it may truly be possible." It means a lot to her, like how she wish she could have saved her dad, but also how she did everything she could to save Alexis, too.
Cassandra is kind of the wild, crazy girl everyone sees, shakes their head, and smiles at, maybe thinking, "She never grew up." In a sense, that's exactly what happened with Cassandra. She's always ready to be a jokester, and tries to make the best out of situations, unless they can't be helped. Cassandra usually isn't someone who talks about people behind their back, and if she has an opinion about you, generally, she'll be quick to share it whether you wanted to hear it or not, which could play as both a good and bad thing. Cassandra is usually one to hang out with the guys, and tends to be easy for people to open up to, because she enjoys giving advice, which explains why she wants to be a social worker/therapist.History:
Cas, quite literally, will not be fucked with. She refuses. Cassandra was raised, while to be polite, to never be shot down, or let someone bad-mouth you or hit you. Sure, she was told never to hit someone first, but if they hit you, you'd better hit them four times as hard and make them remember your name. Really, this is only her angry side though, and it can be identified by a lot of things, like her refusing to speak, or if she does speak, a whole lot of obscenities escaping, as well as her throwing things at you or hitting you. The only way to honestly make Cassie mad is to judge her, lie to her, harm her daughter in anyway, or her harm whom she cares about the most in anyway. That's sure fire for a fight, and most likely the surest way to make her open her eyes to what a situation is like.
When it comes to relationships, Cassie's been through one hell of a roller coaster, and honestly doesn't even know what to do anymore. She's actually quite fed up with what has happened, and wants to just focus on her daughter. Primarily, her daughter is always her first priority, but right now it seems to be her only priority. She's trying to figure out her own life before going on and figuring out someone else's.
Cassandra Rosario was born in El Salvador to a moderately poor income family. Her father, Wilfredo Rosario, was one of those "fix-it" men, and her mother was a stay at home mom who managed to make a few dollars here and there by selling some of her specialty foods. While it wasn't much, Cass still adored her parents, and her life. When Cassandra was about eight, though, her father came down with Leukemia, and generally, the hospitals all over just said one thing every time he visited: Try to make it to the US, for they have better hospitals. So, on a working Visa, Cas's mom Lorena relocated the entire family to New York, where Wilfredo spent the last of his years in an upstate New York hospital. When Cassandra was just thirteen, he died, something she was totally not able to handle. Cassandra and Wilfredo had a very tight-knit father daughter relationship, and Cas automatically became angry at the world when he died.Sample Rp:
After about two months of mourning, Cas's whole attitude shifted, and her schema was changed for the world in a whole. She no longer cared about pleasing her mother. Cassandra would miss curfew, go out with the people she wasn't supposed to go out with, and drink to the point where it got a little ridiculous. At fourteen, she ran away to live with a boy she barely even knew - a gang leader known as Jayden Lee Evans. Basically, as long as Cas slept with only him, she got to stay there, for free, if anything. Slowly, the two started to fall in love, up until Cassandra figured she was pregnant at fifteen, and Jay shut the door cold in her face. Cas moved back with her mom up until she had the baby at sixteen, naming her Alexis Daniela Sanchez. Alexis was born with a heart defect known as ventricular tachycardia, which is an abnormal, fast-paced heart beat originating from the lower ventricles of the heart. After about a year, when Alexis was able to travel, Lorena moved them all to California, because she would be able to manage a daycare center. After a few years, when Cas was ninteen and Alexis three, it was here Cassandra ran right back into Jay, but also met new people along the way. Alexis was able to finally spend time with her dad, and slowly, Cassandra was falling back into love with Jay, which was difficult because she also had feelings for another man that lived in her apartment complex - Carter.
Things had to take a stand-still, though, when Alexis' defect became more and more serious - where Cas sometimes even called the paramedics when she ran out of things to do. Cassandra slowly started to slip away from the world, solely because she was scared. Alexis kept getting sicker, and Cas even quit her job and started missing school to be with her. There was one day where the doctors really believed she wasn't going to make it - and they airlifted her over to Joe Dimaggio's Children Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. It was an expense Cassandra had no other choice but to take. Within an hour she had half her belongings packed, a ticket to Florida, and left Central without looking back. However, even after Alexis was labelled stable enough to go back to living "normal", Cas stayed in Florida with her, trying to pay off all her debts to the hospital before moving back to California and well, now here she is.
"I know... I know. I know you've been telling me for a while." Karsyn sighed, closing her eyes again, pondering the endless possibilities of what could be wrong with her. Her brain was messed up. She'd hit her head too hard when she'd been pushed down. Karsyn could have amnesia. Or maybe she was just crazy, and was making up memories by herself. That thought was the scariest to her. Rick usually had cases of these crazy psychotic criminals who constructed their own memories, and therefore sometimes couldn't even remember doing half the stuff they'd done, or they always imagined it some other way when in fact, it was far worse and gruesome then an average person could wrap their head around. Which was why that option scared her senseless. Was she just as crazy as the criminals Rick had to evaluate? What if she herself had to go on and be evaluated? Of course, Karsyn would refuse. There was no way she was crazy, right?Celeb:
Names...names. Karsyn hardly trusted her own memories, but she finally spoke, a small breath escaping her parted lips as she told him what she truly remembered. "I only really remember opening my eyes and seeing you. Then waking up in the ambulance, and waking up again in the hospital. The only name I heard over and over was my name in the hospital, in passing moments when I would wake up. That's it." Greedily, Karsyn prodded her mind for more information. This attention Damien was giving her was like... no other. Usually, whenever the accident was brought up, Karsyn hated to talk about it. It gave her chills, and made her nearly depressed when she thought about all the time she had to spend in the hospital, and then the month of therapy she'd been forced to endure because she kept having terrors. With Damien though, she felt like she could talk endlessly about it, as long as he was here to help her. It was stupid, but the reference he had made early about being her knight in shining armor was almost in fact, true. He made her feel protected, and there was only one other guy who made her feel that way - Luc. Luc had been her best friend since about fifth grade, but she'd known him all her life. He'd always been sticking up for her, even if there was no need to be defensive, he was. He was the closest thing she had to a brother figure, other than her cousin, but he'd gone back to Mexico.
"I don't want you to be Edward Cullen, or Jacob Black, or whatever." Karsyn stated softly, her eyes locked on his, afraid that if she looked away she wouldn't be able to return to the feeling currently taking over her body. Was it euphoria? That was the only word that could really explain this feeling. Everything was set up perfect, almost movie like. The two of them here at night, on the dark beach. The ocean waves splashed onto the rocks, producing a nice "whoosh" sound that accompanied the wind. she was laying under him, not wanting to ever leave this here, feeling protected and most surprisingly, wanted despite her obvious damages and being broken. Indeed, this was the closest thing to perfection Karsyn had experienced in a long while. "I just... I need you here. You're the one solid thing my memory won't let go of." Her whisper was eminent, coming out almost as if she was desperate and trying to hold on.
With small drops of tears forming at her eyes, Karsyn untangled her fingers from his golden hair, running them down his softened face on his cheekbones, down to his lips. She offered a small smile then, trying to amend for the reason her heart was fluttering in her chest, butterflies not flying through her stomach, but through her whole body it seemed as his fingers traced over her own face, resting on her collarbone. Her own hand curved around the nape of his neck, and gently, the most gentle she'd ever been with a boy before, she pulled him towards her, her own head leaning up, pressing her mouth against his lips. the sensation was instantly wonderful as she awaited a response from him, unsure of exactly what would happen.
