Appearence:
Above average height and skinny, skinny, skinny, Rain is a twig. She doesn’t have much to her in breast size, muscles, or fat, and she looks a bit like she could be broken in half. Still, she could take a beating and get up for more, which is why her looks are deceiving. Rain’s body shape is best described as lean, with legs that are much longer in proportion to her torso. Her feet are much larger than they need to be for her height, size nine and a half, which is for some reason, highly embarrassing to her. Rain usually has buttery smooth hands because she loves to lather on the body butter every chance she gets. There’s something about dry skin that makes her gag in the back of her throat. While Rain is unarguably pretty, the bags under her eyes and her sullen looks, not to mention startlingly skinny frame give evidence to the fact that she uses drugs.Personality:
If she wanted, Rain probably could have been a model, but she wasn’t one for posing. She has high cheekbones to die for and pretty pink, full lips. Rain’s face is in-between an oval and a heart-shaped structure, where it comes to a delicate point at her chin. She has the talent of alternating between looking like a naïve, dainty flower with her baby face and cheeks, and being a hard chick when she wears dark clothes and eyeliner. Both looks suit her at different times and for very different reasons. If she’s feeling really lazy, Rain will wearing her hair in a ponytail or piggy tale braids, but usually her hair is straight down her back. She enjoys using and experimenting with makeup, but never to the extreme. Smokey eyes are usually the color choice of the day or night with a little bit of lip color, but even so, Rain is pretty good about not looking like a drug dealer.
Her eye color is a piercing green while her hair is a simple, bland shade of brown. Rain has arched eyebrows that curve over her eyes and are always well maintained – none of this bushy, grunge look. Rain’s nose is slim and it curves ever slowly slightly downward at the tip. She is a fair-skinned girl with a nice smile, although her teeth are not nearly as white as they once were. It’s a bit obvious to the dentist she sees once in a blue moon what kind of things she has been getting into, for which is will surely pay for later in life. If you look at Rain’s hands throughout the week, you will notice a different color of nail polish almost every day. It’s a hobby of hers to paint nails and she likes to even etch or draw designs on them. Rain’s style is a bit everywhere when it comes to clothes and accessories. She likes to wear pretty things, like dresses and flowers and big earrings, but if she is going to a party Rain usually has something on like a leather jacket, or anything with a flavor of edge to it. She is comfortable all dressed up or in someone’s t-shirt, it matters that little to Rain.
Rain is a social deviant. She lacks the flair, the “charisma”, if you will, that so affects the popular students in the school. For example, her given first name is Alexandra, a perfectly good, normal name, but instead she chooses to go by her middle name - Rain. Honestly, it sounds cooler, and it’s a lot more fitting in her opinion for a drug dealer than “Alexandria.” Rain is not, however, incapable of dealing with social situations. If she wasn’t high on something all the time, she could pull of normal fairly well. She makes the conscious decision to lose herself completely in mind-altering drugs and hallucinations. It’s just easier that way. And easier, she has decided, is a lot better than anything she is used to. Rain doesn’t exactly try in school. If she put her mind to it, she could easily get good grades. She was smart and received high marks in elementary and middle school, but once she got into her Freshman year and walked down the path of substance abuse, her grades and her overall excellence in school took a nosedive. Rain is smart, or at least, she used to be. Some of her decisions don’t seem to be very smart. She had a quiet exterior, one that hangs out more in the shadows and behind the scenes. Rain isn’t about being the center of attention, but she isn’t necessarily a wallflower either. This isn’t because Rain is shy; she just doesn’t have a lot to say. Rain has a bit of a “screw you” personality at first, one that turns most people off immediately. She’s a little harsh because she’s very honest, especially when she just got a high. Actually, Rain is very nice to people who aren’t high up in the social ladder. Rain has no problem with geeks, Rain likes geeks, as long as geeks don’t rat her out to the authorities about what she’s taking or selling. Rain doesn’t have much of a taste of jocks or preps, and especially not the queen bee or her minions, but she tolerates them. Some of them buy drugs from her, so whatever. Rain, strangely enough, also likes people in gangs. At least the ones that like her, only because they tend to watch out for her. If someone watches Rain’s back, she’ll stick to you like glue.History:
That brings me to the next point: neediness. Rain won’t act like she needs you immediately. It takes a little time for that type of clinginess to grow and fester, but when it does, I hope you have patience. She’s definitely the type of teenage girl who has self esteem problems, and standing up for herself? She does it to a point. She’ll flip you off if you try to make fun of her but if they’re serious about bullying Rain for long enough, she’ll crumble under pressure. That’s why Rain likes to make friends with and have strong personalities around her. I’ve got friends in low and high places. She is loyal, loyal to a fault. Even when she probably shouldn’t be covering for someone she will, if they’re a friend. She expects the same in return and is hurt when someone doesn’t return the favor. Rain also has a way of understanding people different than her, like stepping into their shoes. She may not have the same opinions, life, or mindset, but it’s still possible for her to understand their sometimes strange behavior. The one clique she probably will never understand is the Gossips. What is that even about? Get a life. Rain truly can’t stand a gossip and if they want drugs? Pick a different dealer, or expect to pay twice the normal amount just because she can. Normally she’s very fair, but every once in awhile a bias will cause someone to have to fork over some extra cash. On principle she doesn’t generally do this, as things could get messy.
How is Rain in a relationship? It’s hard to say. Rain doesn’t have a lot of experience with it. She has experience with boys and she has had sex (the things you do when you’re stoned), but a good, faithful, serious relationship? Not really. Rain could probably manage it, but she hasn’t met a guy yet who ever wanted that from her. She comes across as a one-night stand or a make-out session buddy, and although it makes her a bit bitter, she can’t really blame them in the end. She made her bed, now she has to lie in it. The relationships Rain has had have been swift and volatile, and sticking with random flings, despite never being sober for them, as worked so far. There is more to her than just a stoned out, drunk teenage girl, but she’s worked hard and hiding it. It’s sad to think that at sixteen years old she’s already letting things spiral so much out of control, but then again, the teenage years are the hardest, and her parents do almost everything wrong a parent could do. Don’t worry, Rain’s entire personality and life isn’t a sob story. She chooses to downplay things and make the best of most situations. A fairly level-headed girl, even on her worst days Rain can think her way out of a problem. She is, simply put, very clever. She likes to have fun and goes to parties not only because they are the best places to sale, but because the atmosphere is on fire. It’s where the hipsters, hippies, scenesters, druggies and ravers can collide. Rain enjoys meeting new people and developing new connections. She has a habit of analyzing everyone and trying to figure out what they are all about. Something about parties are magic – they are capable of bringing so many people together. Rain is usually looking for the next best thrill, be it a new drug, sex, party, or anything else imaginable. The problem with living in the high life is it’s not only dangerous, but eventually, Rain starts to get a little bored, and she has to look for more extreme ways to amuse herself but even more importantly – forget.
Rain has a way of being funny without meaning to be. On occasion she will say something that seems so out of place or just plain crazy that it’s hilarious, and this would happen even if she wasn’t on drugs. While she does have her fair share of intense problems, Rain is still a good friend to have if you can handle her. She’s there for her friends. She is very encouraging; a good moral support for someone who is nervous about trying something new or going after an ambition of theirs. She tends to live vicariously through others perhaps, but she gets a kick out of it. As stated before, although she’s a bit rough around the edges, Rain is practically mush on the inside. She doesn’t think much of herself and is very loyal, which tends to translate into being taken advantage of, be that by friends, boyfriends, lovers, you name it. But, the person has to be sly about doing it. If she can see right through them they’ll never get that far. Rain likes to try and think for herself but she can be influenced by others in her clique if there’s a fear she’ll be shunned. She would not do well as an outcast on her own. Share and share alike, Rain is pretty generous. If you’re nice, you can likely get a bigger bag of weed for the same price from Rain if she’s in the mood. She’s not sure what it is, but there’s something about her that tends to make her well-liked, despite all of her blatant laws. It may be that non-judgmental type, or her reliability. Of course there are always people in high school that hate someone else on principle, or over petty things like their hair, social status, or clothing. Still, even despite all of that, if Rain liked herself half as much as some others did, she’d be in much better shape.
Despite what you may have been told or heard, Rain’s life hasn’t been all that bad. It started out like normal. She was born in a hospital in California healthy and crying (after the doctors slap you on the butt, it’s a natural reaction) to two joyous parents. She had an older brother named Steven who immediately took to looking after his baby sister. He was only two years her senior and the pair of them were close. Alexandra was her name, and she went by that name for a long time – not Alex, not Rain, but Alexandra. She was born and raised in Central, California and unlike other children, never really had the desire to leave. Going on family vacations was fun, but she wasn’t cut out for exploring and adventure. Not yet, anyway. Rain, or Alexandra, liked and was interested in the same things that her brother was. If he watched sports, she would watch sports. If he cooked, she’d cook too. It didn’t matter if she was good at it or not. Her life was just fine, nothing to complain about. Her parents are upper middle class and have always been able to provide their children with what they wanted, even if it was at full price. When Alexandra was eight her younger brother, Dallin, was born. He has always been the more demanding one, which she supposed came with being the youngest. She wasn’t as close to him, not only because of the age difference but also because she and Steven were so much alike.Sample Rp:
As she got older, her parents seemed to disagree more, or maybe she just began to notice it. It was harder and harder to be at home with the way they were fighting all the time, and Rain began to make friends other than just Steven. She had tried a few different hobbies as a kid, like taking ballet lessons and hockey, but none of them really seemed to stick. Rain couldn’t find herself dedicated to any one thing, and it frustrated her parents. Steven had taken up hockey and not only that, but he was really good at it. She liked to go to his games and cheer him on, but she couldn’t play, and it was as simple as that. Rain began to distance from her parents more and more by the time she was thirteen. She got a little rebellious and tested her parents like most normal children do, bending the rules or pretending she “forgot” about them. Finally, a true passion for rain emerged. She took an art class and fell in love with it. She started to focus and put her energy toward painting, which was apparently a natural talent she had. Rain wasn’t blatantly emotional on the outside, but by what she painted, it was clear to see that she feels very deeply, maybe too deeply for her own good. Her paintings were very realistic and beautiful. A few years later and now into high school, her paintings have taken a different turn. She still likes to paint scenery and setting suns, but she’s also into the dark abstract; the unknown.
The problems really began when they lost Steven. Rain was fourteen and Steven was at the tender age of sixteen. He hadn’t had a license for very long, and the car accident wasn’t even his fault, but he was still killed instantly. It had seemed like a normal Tuesday night and Steven was out with his friends, but he didn’t come back at his curfew. This was unusual for Steven, as he was a very good son. Then the phone call came. Things fell apart for Rain the night Steven died, and her fragile composure started to unravel. Nothing was the same. Dinner wasn’t enjoyable, tv wasn’t funny, and Rain was sick of her preppy friends telling her that “they were so sorry.” Sorry didn’t fix this, and it never would. It wasn’t their fault, she knew even then, but Rain wanted to be alone, she wanted to make it stop hurting. The following year Rain entered high school and she attended her first party. Someone offered her a drink, told her it would take the “edge” off, and she accepted it. Then she had another, and another, and eventually Rain was so drunk she couldn’t walk straight. One thing lead to another and somehow she woke up the next morning in one of the beds next to a guy she really, really didn’t know. When she came home the next day her parents yelled at her. They had been so scared something had happened, but Rain didn’t to talk about it. She and her parents had been walking on eggshells with each other for some time, but this was the first full-out fight they had ever had. The next weekend Rain went to another party, and this time she tried marijuana. Pretty soon she was addicted to the party scene and the escape they provided. When she was drunk or high, Rain didn’t think about her dead brother, or her parents, or the friends she was losing. She felt alive in all the good ways, and dead with all the bad.
It wasn’t as hard as you would think getting into the drug selling business. Once people knew she could be trusted, she was provided with a good source for the drugs. Rain certainly didn’t and still doesn’t look like a drug seller, a pretty little freshman at the time, and that’s what made her so appealing. She was in school and could deal there, and the wrong people probably wouldn’t notice. Rain came home more and more frequently smelling like beer and her parents really became upset. They already had so much going on, and eventually, underneath the pressure and hardships they had faced, the filed for divorce. As if life wasn’t bad enough. Yes, Rain was doing this to herself, but she couldn’t see that. To try and appease her parents and keep from making them suffer more than they already had, Rain learned stealth. She learned all the little tricks to mask your breath and sneak out of your room. She’s not sure to this day if they completely buy it, but at least the tension has been lessoned. She’s back to being fairly well behaved in front of her parents, if not strangely lethargic most of the time. Rain made a whole new set of friends her freshman year she has carried over to her sophomore year. She and the preps were through. Now Rain has a new life, and sometimes, she feels like a rockstar. Maybe it is all an illusion and maybe she is fooling herself, but she’s going to carry on in her illusion for as long as possible. Whether that be until she stops having fun or she O.D’s and kills herself, it’s one way or another.
Rain started small with her little drug dealing big and it’s beginning to grow bigger. She’s been questioned and even harassed by the school teachers a couple times, but she always finds…creative ways of hiding her stash. And if anyone asked her parents? She’s doing great. Angsty and withdrawn, but that’s normal, right? Her little brother, now eight, seems to know her a lot better than her parents and although he’s threatened to rat her out a million times before, he never seems to be able to follow through. Although, that might be in part to the money he makes when she pays him to keep his mouth shut. Ah, bribery. Rain’s grades have taken a turn for the worst during her stay in high school, but at least her artwork has reached an all-time high. No pun intended, of course. She won an award at an art show and has received quite a bit attention for her work. Nevertheless, art doesn’t seem to hold the same kind of power over Rain as it once did. Nothing does, except for drugs and money.
The pencil in Rain’s hand tapped against the wooden surface of the desk. The desks in the high school, although replaced often enough, always contained a few loving graffiti marks from their former owners. Rain read over a few of them absent-mindedly. Most of them were boring and unoriginal, like their first names or “I hate school.” Every once in awhile, she discovered a diamond in the rough, a real piece of art or at least a witty remark that left a lasting impression. No such luck today, and since that was the case, Rain decided to share her talent with the world, or at least anyone who sat in this desk. She began drawing with pencil over the surface a picture of an old man. His facial features were worn, and a person could really see every trial he had ever experienced in the lines of his face. Rain wasn’t sure why she had chosen to draw the portrait of an old man she had never met on a high school desk, but it was what came to her, and sometimes you had to let the creativity flow. Her leg jiggled up and down, bumping the bottom of the desk in time with the ticking of the clock on the wall, and her right foot tapped the floor rapidly. It was that time of day again. In fact, it was usually always that time of day. Rain needed her fix and she needed it now. Anxiously, she looked away from her desk (having not looked at the teacher or his scrawling on the board for at least ten minutes) and up at the clock. Two more minutes. After class, she would pack up her things and make a hasty exit. The lunch hour would begin and, before selling her goods, she would take a little sniff of something good. The problem with being addicted to drugs when you were a drug dealer was, well, you used up your goods. She made sure she paid those who provided her with all of the stash first, so that everything was technically hers, but she did feel guilty every time she huffed or lit up.Celeb:
The bell rang, hallelujah. As predicted, Rain packed up her things just slowly enough that she didn’t look insanely weird and then walked out of the door. She went to her locker and switched her backpack with her purse, the one that had her merchandise in it. Rain didn’t always have a lot of drugs with her. There were certain set days that she would sell, otherwise she would get caught a lot more quickly. There had been raids with drug dogs in the hallway in the past, but she was ever-so-lucky. Rain was getting used to this procedure. She didn’t look at all nervous anymore as she walked past the lunchroom like she always did, forgetting about lunch completely, and out the double doors to the courtyard. There was a big, grassy field to her left and a basketball straight in front of her. Rain chose neither direction. She went left instead, where she stopped at the bleachers and pressed her back up against the red brick wall, waiting for her customers. She waited idly like she had nothing else to do until the first pick of the day showed up. He came over like he needed to pick up a basketball he never would have normally missed, which had rolled all the way to her feet. Rain’s eyes looked straight ahead while he reached down to pick up the ball, but she was clearly speaking to him when she reached into her bag and said, “How much today?”
