I suppose the first word that comes to mind would be "small." Nothing about Kayl is big at a glance, he's slender, he's short and he just seems slight in every way. Although he does have a little bit of muscle on his body, there's not really much to be said for his physique. Kayl's got short limbs too. All in all, the guy's just plain under-sized.

If you were going to compliment Kayl on his face "pretty" would be a much better word than "handsome." Kayls face is very much feminine in a lot of ways, and he can be mistaken for a girl fairly easily. Between his long hair, the make up he applies each morning, and the facial expressions he wears, he just seems feminine. The first things one would notice about Kayl are his long, sleek black hair, white streak and all, and his pale skin.

When it comes to fashion Kayl usually wears black, and appears to be a fairly typical 'emo' kid. More concerned with looking good than being comfortable he usually wears unusual, out there sort of clothing. Vests, bow ties, things people wouldn't expect. Season does little to change this, just because clothes seem a little too hot for the weather doesn't mean he won't deal with it to look good. Kayl's also pretty intense when it comes to accessories, he likes to look as close to perfect as he can, and an earing or a necklace can make or break just about any outfit for him.

When Kayl's drunk his style tends to change a little bit. After a couple of drinks he tends to swap clothes with nearby girls, cross dressing. He doesn't deny that he finds it fun, but he still usually only does it drunk.

Personality:

Kayl as a whole is very feminine, your stereotypical 'girly' gay kid. He's bubbly, dramatic and outgoing. He gets very emotional over little things. Usually he seems really happy, but his moods are obvious so when he's not happy, you'll know it. He's also a bit arrogant, although his ego is very fragile, so it won't be hard to take him down a peg. Regardless of mood, you'll never see Kayl without his iPod. Even if there's music pumping all around him he'll have it handy in case something else catches his fancy.

What about When Kayl's with his friends (mostly girls, shockingly)? He likes to shop, gossip, talk about boys, all the usual stuff. You can pick your friends, but not your family, however Kayl treats his friends like some treat family. He has the utmost respect and loyalty for them and he can't stand losing them. Of course, Kayl also relies on and expects loyalty from his friends, and will call on them when he needs people to support him. Kayl's a doormat really and his friends can get away with murder for ages before he decides to do anything serious about it usually. Even during a fight Kayl will be there for his friends and he hopes that they'll show him the same sort of friendship. If Kayl gets caught in between two friends fighting, he basically can't take it and he breaks down. He'll try his best to keep the peace but it usually ends with him crying and begging them to work it out.

Kayl treats his lovers a lot like he does his friends. They're more important then family because again, they chose him, and he chose them. Kayl is a very loving person who puts his lovers above pretty much everyone, and buys expensive gifts, spending a lot of time, money and effort on making them happy. Kayl is also a fairly clingy lover, and while he's not possessive he expects the lover to spend time with him and to put him first just as he does for them. Kayl, while he puts his lovers first usually, knows that friends are the people who'll be there in the long run if a relationship ends, and so he'll often take the side of a friend over a lover, or cancel on spending time with one if a friend really desperately needs it. Contrary to what people would expect from the typically promiscuous boy, when he finds a guy he likes, he's very committed and the only part of him that wanders is his eyes. Kayl is a very physically intimate lover and he expects open physical intimacy from his partners. He's very touchy-feely and doesn't care if people judge him and generally potential boyfriends should have the same attitude. Kayl's a verry guilty lover and if something goes wrong in a relationship it's always 'his fault'. He blames himself for any relationship issues he may have. Kayl tends to punish himself for this and has on occasion, ended relationships because he doesn't think he's 'worthy' of the other guy, or on rare occasions he actually hurts, or even attempts to kill himself.

You're one of Kayl's many enemies? Well then you probably describe him with one, usually feminine word, “bitch.” Kayl handles his enemies the same way you'd expect a bitchy, popular girl to. He slanders them, he makes emotional attacks on them and he does things that he usually wouldn't be proud of. Still the nastier things are a fairly extreme reaction. With a lot of his 'enemies' he sticks to bitchy little exchanges of insults, and it takes something serious to prompt more from him. If you're Kayl's enemy, generally there's not much of a problem getting back into his good books if you're a nice enough person, but if you've been bad to his friends or lovers, or if you're homophobic, then don't expect to be friendly with him any time soon. If you've done something extreme he might forgive you but it'll take a lot of work on your part to convince him to do so.

History:

Kayl was born to an Irish Catholic father and American an agnostic mother. He's lived in Central all his life. During Kayl's early childhood, the first few years, his father was very much an absent figure, working during the night while Kayl was asleep and sleeping during the day. Kayl didn't really start to see his father until his twin brother and sister were born a few years later, and even then he was in competition with them for attention and the younger children usually won that battle.
Even during these younger years Kayl's vanity showed. One of his first words was 'ugly' when he had been dressed in clothes he didn't like. Before he could dress himself, Kayl would have huge, full-blown tantrums over being dressed in 'ugly' clothes.

The time came when Kayl got into kindergarten. His femininity there was obvious too, prefering to talk to and hang around with the girls instead of the boys, playing the different, more girly games that young children played. The school never thought much of it, and nor did Kayl's parents. At that time they simply thought it was a phase that he would grow out of. Later that year it became apparent that the boy's interests in femininity were a little deeper than they seemed. Wearing the clothes bought for his younger sister that were too large for her, he was found cross dressing for the first time by his grandmother, who went ballistic. Kayl's mother defended him, saying that he was just curious, but his father, for the sake of keeping the peace with the boy's grandmother, his father took her side in spite of his own beliefs.

His father's presence had shifted from absent to negative in the son's mind. He continued to grow closer to his mother. by the time he was about ten, he was still pretty much one of the girls, having only really accepted a female role model, and besides, he was just suited toward femininity. By now there was a lot of strain on the family and it was getting to the point where in order to make his grandmother happy, Kayl's father was causing fights with his wife. This basically had Kayl constantly listening to music, just trying to escape and that was really the start of his hipster life, becoming a true music buff if only to block the negativity out.

For the next couple of years this continued the way it is now and Kayl was starting to go out more and more to friend's houses. He started drinking when he was twelve years old and hasn't stopped since. It was a good way to get away from the troubles with his family. He never ended up an alcoholic, thankfully, but it did fuck up his family relationships a little more. Kayl was never at home and spent most of his time off with his friends and their older relatives, not a good crowd even if he personally was okay.

It was when he was fifteen that the boy came out to his family. Really there wasn't much news there for anyone. His mother and father both accepted it, and when his grandmother tried to cause trouble over it, it was the first time his father had ever defended him against her. His father said that he was wrong to treat Kayl the way he had his whole life and he wanted to make it right. Although Kayl still doesn't trust his father, he has started to repair his relationship with the man.

Over the last couple of years things have improved with Kayl's immediate family and his grandmother has been nowhere on the scene. His younger brother hasn't accepted his sexuality but his sister's fine with it. Kayl's set his sights on joining the ranks of his favorite bands and becoming a star himself.

He wears bowties. Bowties are cool. Now that I'm doing making that Doctor Who reference, I enjoyed the application! I like your description of him and how unusual he seems, though we get a better glimpse through his personality. I enjoyed his personality because it was different, describing him in relations to other people instead of just using adjectives. Especially when it comes to how he feels about lovers in comparison to family and friends. It was an interesting insight. As for his history, I really liked how his relationship with his father played a huge part into who he is, but even more so that they are trying to rebuild. Good application and welcome back!
