Shalom! Well, I'm your not-so-typical Israeli-American girl! I do not have black curly hair, nor do I ride camels to school and eat goats. I have brown straight hair that falls down to my chest, and I also love to eat pizza! Not so freaky anymore right?Personality:
As everyone says, Israel is the country of tan! So, my skin is beautifully tanned, in this light brown color, which by the way, suits my natural hair color, which is brown. I love my hair! It is straight with a slight wave, and my hair also has natural blond-ish highlights, which I personally think look really cool.
I love my body. It is nor fat not anorexic skinny. It’s perfect! I usually wear pink and red, because I really think they really match my skin color. Also, like every girl out there, I love make-up; I adore foundation! It's just perfect. I also love a good Wet n Wild Lipstick! Not a huge fan of eyeliners, but they could definitely be used.
I have straight white teeth, without the use of chemicals. All completely natural. I simply care about my hygiene, and naturally I don't like looking and smelling bad. I love perfumes as well! I keep buying and buying perfumes all the time. Because of my great love for perfume, I have a whole drawer full of them at home. Also deodorants are pretty awesome. I adore Rexona; such a good company. They have kept me smelling nice and sweat free for several years now.
Let's see, what else? Clothes! I am in love with clothes. I buy them from everywhere. I have two whole closests with no room for a single sock. I love shirts, pants, jeans, shirts, miniskirts, and dresses! I love to wear them all! Yesterday I bought a mini skirt from JC Penny's. I totally adore it! It's so cute. It matches my favorite pink shirt beautifully! I also love high heels, I usually prefer four inchers. Not only do they make me look taller, but they also make me look delectable.
I do not have many piercings. The only ones that I do have are for earrings, and a belly button piercing. And I am considering getting a nose ring soon. Personally I think it would very cute on me, and would complement my bone structure nicely.
Well, I don't think you all know why I'm in the United States, so let me tell you my story. About four years ago, there was a really big tornado that happened in Tel Aviv, Which destroyed every inch of what I called home, so dad decided it's no longer safe in Israel, so he applied for an immigrant visa, and here I am. I am still torn between Israel and California, not exactly sure where I belong.History:
I am Jewish, so I don't really fit in between all my Christian friends, at least back in Israel, I felt like I truly belonged somewhere, while in California, I'm just lost. The language has also been a little problematic, I was raised by Hebrew speaking parents, which is very different from English, so when I arrived here, I didn't know how to make a three word conversation, but fortunately, I'm a fast learner.
Since I moved on from the disaster that came upon myself and my family, I am somewhat happier than I was before. When I arrived to California, which was a month after the disaster, I was diagnosed with severe depression, and I was on Prozac. I really couldn't believe that I no longer will be able to see Max, my beloved dog. Did I mention my little baby brother, Yotam, was killed? I won't be able to see all my friends, I will never see my favorite shops, Aroma, the café. My favorite clothing shops, Renuar, TNT and Castro, these shops aren't only shops, they're my life! We hang-out there, we have fun there, and now it's over.
I'm adjusting to life here, I'm happy. I have a gorgeous boyfriend, who's a year older than I am, Declan, the Irish exchange student in another school. He’s so energetic and full of life, and he gives me the power to go on. I definitely am not depressed anymore. I'm getting used to the American music and American shops, and we don't have Walmart back home, so it's great. I miss my Israeli music, but that's why there's YouTube, right?
I play the guitar, and the piano, and I sing. I love singing English, Hebrew, and Russian songs. I just forget everything and become instantly happy! I love hanging out with all the other survivors. They give me power to fully move on. Hearing their stories; realizing that I'm not alone in this. It has been very helpful. Overall, I am a very funny person. I love jokes, and I’m also really clever when it comes to things that don't involve school, unfortunately.
Well, I'm from Israel. I moved to Central four years ago, I was 13 at the time. I come from a typical Jewish-Israeli family, but we're not very religious. Dad doesn't wear a Kippa, and I definitely don't wear a wig or skirts. Yet, we did the Kiddush for Sabbath, but not anymore.Sample Rp:
My father was a Chemist for Teva, an Israeli medical company, while my mother was a teacher. Boring, right? Well, here in Central, my dad works at AT&T while my mother works as a Hebrew teacher at the synagogue. I had a little brother, Yotam, who passed away in the tornado. He was only 5 years old at the time.
My father’s family is originally from Spain while my mother’s family is from Russia, so I have pretty mixed blood. I never really knew my grandparents, my father came to Israel alone when he was 25, and my mom came here when she was 21, and fortunately, they met one year after the Aaliyah (Immigration) to Israel. They met at a gay parade in Tel Aviv, where the instantly fell in love. Both of my parents are straight, but I'm bisexual, and pretty open about it.
I was raised on loving an accepting the other person for whomever they are. It doesn't matter what their background is, or what things they've done in the past, I accept everyone.
Anyway, after moving to California, my family and I were destroyed, on one side, we lost our home, and everything we had, and on the other, Yotam's death was very shocking to all of us, sometimes I believe he's here. Californians have a very different lifestyle, so it took us a while to adjust.
My family is strong, I'm sure we'll fully get through everything one day, I'm sure. Love is very strong, and it can get through anything. I love my mom and dad, and I will never forget my brother, Yotam.
Jake awakened reluctantly as the rays of the morning sun lit his room; at first he had thought to defend himself from his morning enemy by covering his head with his pillow, but that plan was soon thereafter rendered useless as the automated alarm clock on the right side of his bed began to ring. The noise was so loud and so sudden that when he heard it, Jake jumped about an inch off of the bed itself. He opened his eyes slowly to reveal red pupils which looked at the alarm clock malevolently, then pressed the snooze button with quite a yawn accompanying the action.Celeb:
Soon after the alarm clock had gone off, Jake heard the familiar sounds that accompanied early mornings in his house; parents awakening and going to the bathroom to handle hygiene, sister waking up only to fall back asleep minutes later, and of course the somewhat heavy panting that served as his only warning before he got tackled by his canine best friend.
The dog looked at Jake with keen and intelligent eyes, and if the boy had been given the power to read the minds of animals, he was sure that he would have heard a 'maybe' just then; such was the look that Ruff was giving him. After about a minute of playing with the dog in his bed, and with his face covered by saliva, Jake finally rolled out of bed and into his own bathroom to ensure that he was presentable. After all, what was the use of going to school with the appearance of a slob? After brushing his teeth, washing his face, and applying much needed deodorant to his armpits, Jake walked back into his room and selected his attire for that day; a short-sleeved black Zara shirt with skinny jeans, and awesome Lee Cooper sneakers. Before he would go downstairs he checked his reflection one more time in his bedroom mirror. Not bad, Jake thought, and was soon out of his room, slamming his door loudly as he walked out, which usually followed his sister's angry groan's from next door. He could not help but chuckle. He loved his sister a lot, but irritating her was simply far too entertaining to resist sometimes.
As Jake walked into the kitchen, he was met by the familiar cozy state of chaos that the room was always in. It did not bother him at all. He loved that his mother was not like other obsessive mothers that only worried about the house staying completely spotless all the time. He quickly grabbed his already ready lunch from the table, gave his mother a quick kiss on the cheek as she continued to fry dad's omelet, and was soon out of the house. He could not run from his enemy, he was sure. Today was the long awaited day that somebody finally stood up to that bully. It was inescapable.
