Appearence:
Giselle has never been quite proud of her looks, but she’s grown fonder of herself in more recent years. Her platinum blonde hair looks much like vanilla draped over chocolate against her dirt-brown roots, and compared to her even paler skin, the brown looks like black. Despite what people have told her, she has never preferred the dark hair-light skin thing, so with a bottle of platinum blonde hair-dye, she created a whole new look. She feels it complements her powder-skin even more, and against her un-dyed eyebrows, it gives her a kind of eclectic look. Occasionally she’ll clip in a few colored extensions to switch it up a bit, but Izzy most often just leaves her natural hair color when she goes out. With everyone coloring their hair today, Elle thinks it’s different to actually have your natural color hair.Personality:
Her face curves at all the right angles and is proportioned well. The way her nose curves down the middle of her face creates a profile that is structured beautifully, and looks great from a distance. The piercings on her face make sure her well-crafted features stick out and her thin lips always look plump with some lipgloss. Her eyes stick out between her hair and the makeup she wears. Just the slight eyeliner and mascara make her light blue eyes stand out quite a bit. Though she could do so much to make her face stand out, Giselle doesn’t. The pancake makeup isn’t her thing. Really, when you wear too much makeup it’s all too obvious, and she’d rather not have to deal with that.
As mentioned, her skin is very pale, but Izzy actually prefers it. It helps her stand out a bit more, since nearly everyone else has a tan. Her body is one to look at, well, maybe not for her. Elle is petite, small, but she doesn't look too short or too skinny. Her figure has just enough curve to it, just enough hips to make her look sexy. The tattoos embedded on her skin give her thin arms an edge, a little something more to look at. Though she isn’t going to show off, she’s well aware people do look at her, for more reasons than just her pale skin or the tattoos. It doesn’t bother her anymore though, because she’s learned to ignore it.
▪untrusting –That’s basically Giselle in a nutshell. She isn’t going to just tell you what she’s feeling or what’s going on. To get her to trust you, you have to talk to her and show her you’re not out to ruin her. She’s had trust issues her whole life because of her family, and though she’s gotten better with dealing with people, she still isn’t quick to give out her trust. Being her best friend is going to be difficult, but being just a friend will be rather easy. Don’t expect her to share her big secrets so quick if you’re not close though. Once you’ve got her trust though, you’ll never lose it unless you do something bad. Then, you’ll most likely never get it back. She’ll still keep all your secrets though.History:
▪caring – Even though the girl hasn’t dealt with such nice people, she is caring towards almost everyone. Izzy doesn’t believe anyone should be ignored or mistreated, though she wouldn't stand up for herself in her household when she was younger. Everyone deserves to be loved, in her opinion, and it shouldn’t be any other way. People are all equal, and being treated otherwise isn’t right unless it has been warranted by certain behavior. People who are criminals that have murdered people, beaten people, and other such crimes don’t deserve the type of caring and kindness others do. To her, this even applies to animals, though many do not see them as humans or equals.
▪open – Unlike her attitude before, Elle will try a lot of things. She won’t think twice about heading to a party, and if you want to be loud and obnoxious at the mall, go for it. Instead of freaking out and always trying to be the good kid, she’s decided risks can be fun, as long as they’re not very bad. Getting drunk isn’t something she’d be afraid to do. Drugs are still out of the question, but she would try them if she wanted to. Though some things are still out of the question, that’s only really due to a fear she may have, such as heights. No skydiving for Izzy. Just ask her, she’ll probably do what you’ve got in mind.
▪smart – Though she’s not as studious, Giselle hasn’t let that make her forget everything she's learned so far. Her mind is still full of the knowledge. It’s helpful to have, since she is still in school. Though she isn't sure if she's going to college, her smarts are enough to help people. Elle has always been in the higher classes, so her knowledge is a lot. It’s not something she flaunts either. She won’t go around acting like a brainiac for people to respect her, because it’s really not that cool to know what she knows. It’s all things everyone learns. No one will be wowed by her knowledge because everyone knows it.
▪pessimistic – Izzy just doesn’t think most things will turn out exceedingly well. She expects all situations in end in average results, and doesn’t usually get her hopes up. It is just how she’s come to be, and most people have come to expect it out of her. She is optimistic in some situations, but just mainly pessimistic. It all depends on the situation really, and who it involves. Elle thinks things out before expecting a certain end result. She’s not going to expect a druggie friend of hers to get into the Ivy League college they want to go to. It’s simply impossible, unless they drop the habit and focus on their work. Common sense is definitely a thing she uses.
▪nice – This girl is one of the nicest people you‘ll ever meet. Giselle is a very kind and considerate person. No one will ever get an attitude from her unless they’ve done something to her or she’s upset. Strangers are given the utmost respect, as are others she encounters. People are just all equal, and she tries to exhibit that idea as much as possible. If others aren’t nice to her, she’ll say something, because it isn’t right to be treated like that when you don’t deserve it. Of course, it’ll be said with respect, unless the actions were completely out of line. Then, well, she might actually have to get mean.
▪loyal - Elle is extremely loyal to the people she likes. The friends she has are treated better than many people treat their friends. Her brother is really her only family, and he is treated like her everything, coming before all. Though she’s had very few, boyfriends are treated very well too, of course. If you say you really like someone, they should be treated with respect and you should care about them. Sometimes her ways lead to her getting taken advantage of, but she’s getting better with saying no and not giving in to doing whatever her friends want.
▪animal lover – Izzy is very much a lover of animals. She is vegetarian and doesn’t use products that have been tested on animals. The girl owns a dog, but hopes to get more animals because she can’t stand to watch a poor animal suffer in a shelter. Sometimes you can find her nursing a homeless animal back to health before finding a suitable home for it. Not everyone understands why she does it, but it makes sense to her. Not all of her friends respect animals the way she does, and she can understand it, as long as they don’t go telling her she’s wrong, stupid, etc. for helping them.
▪musical – Since she was little, music has always been important to the girl. Singing is one of the things that helps her calm down. Writing music is another hobby, and she is always listening to it. Elle has been to a good amount of shows, many for bands most people haven’t heard of. She has always had a small desire to start her own band, but she figures it probably won’t work so well. She’d definitely jump at the chance of joining a friend’s band though.
▪OCD - Yes, she has OCD. It isn't very bad though. Small things upset her, and she can usually calm herself down when she has an 'episode'. They aren't crazy though, so you can barely call them episodes. Really just like a bother that she gets a little worked up about. The things that bother her the most are usually where certain things are and if she’s on time. If she says she’s going to be somewhere at a certain time, expect her there, at most, five minutes later than that time. And her room is set up a certain way, her bed in the spot she needs it and other small things in their ‘right’ spots.
▪shy/outgoing – The only reason Izzy would be shy was if she was around someone she really liked. Otherwise, she probably wouldn’t be. She’s become outgoing, and won’t hesitate to talk to you. She’s got a weird side, but she’s mostly calm and friendly. When she’s with friends though, her weird side comes out. She’ll be very random, and act rather silly, but she’s always funny. She knows when enough is enough though, and won’t get to the point where it’s obnoxious. Overall, she’s fun to be around and a good friend, but not everyone likes her. Her first impressions aren’t always the best. Sometimes she’s caught on a bad day, and you’ll think she’s a bitch, or that she’s too weird.
On one warm January day in France, a baby girl was conceived. Yes, conceived. Weird way to start, right? Anyway, it wasn’t exactly wonderful. A mother was taking a short walk with her son, whom was only a year old. They lived in an apartment nearby because the woman’s husband had recently died. The cause was unknown, so they left it at that. She didn’t want to get herself all worked up if the cause was avoidable. While walking past a wooded section of the park, little Sebastian started to fuss. Smiling, the woman stopped and walked to the front of the stroller, where she began to fix his blanket and tend to him. That was when Adrienne was grabbed from behind and pulled into the woods. The man then raped her, and she never even got a decent look at him. Basically, fear took over and she shut her eyes. Not smart, but her actions nonetheless. Once he was finished, he ran off and left her lying there. Before long, the cries of her son were heard, which prompted Adrienne to quickly pull herself together and rush to him. Maybe he was hurt. Maybe then man was strangling him right now. It turned out that the baby was fine, so they went home and never spoke of the incident. How did she tell her parents about the pregnancy? Well, her and her deceased husband had frozen fertilized eggs in case of any issues. They had wanted a big family.Sample Rp:
A few months later, Adrienne was at work, a hospital, taking care of a patient who had needed an operation. It was love at first sight, really. What was even better was that he didn’t care that she was pregnant. The woman just didn’t know he was the one who got her pregnant against her will. Marc Beauvais, which was what his name turned out to be, had planned on being in a relationship with her. He hadn’t expected it to work out this perfect, but it worked for him. Even after he was released from the hospital, the two kept in touch and spent much time with each other. Within two months, they were planning a wedding. Her parents didn’t approve much, but neither paid attention. They were in love, right? The day before their wedding day, Adrienne was told she was due any day. So the couple just didn’t plan a honeymoon. They could deal with that. Besides, Adrienne had already had one. It hadn’t been that spectacular, or so she told herself. It was ultimately for the best though, because three days later, the baby was born.
On October 31, Giselle Antoinette Beauvais was born. Adrienne resented the girl from that point on because she was the result of a traumatic event. Did she show it? Not really. It wasn’t as if the two were together all the time though, because her son loved the girl. They were close even as toddlers, and the small age difference helped a lot. While they were playing, their mother could be on the phone or something that didn’t involve them. Over time, Adrienne simply became disinterested in her kids. Especially since Izzy was becoming more and more unlike her. Her hair was black, and she had brown eyes. This little girl had light brown hair and grayish-blue eyes. And it still hadn’t occurred to her that the girl looked more like her husband now than anyone. Adrienne wasn’t the smartest though. After all, she had been the one taking her young son for a walk in January. Does that sound very smart? Not really. The woman also left two year old Giselle in the bathtub while she went and took a nap. The girl would have drowned if her brother hadn’t started screaming. Of course, the kids were bribed so they didn’t tell their father. He never knew.
Nothing really happened in the house until Elle was about seven. That was when her father started drinking heavily, and he began to hit his daughter and his wife. Not his son though. His son was perfect, a strong and smart boy. Yes, Marc was one of those guys who felt women were worthless. So, Izzy would go to school with cuts and bruises on her, but no one would ask because no one would see. Her mother had made it a priority to cover up the spots. It didn’t help at all, but it kept people away. Besides, the new treatment had caused Elle to withdraw from people and lose most of the friends she had. In a matter of weeks, the girl had lost all interest in talking to people and socializing. By junior high, it ruined her completely. Her sense of style changed, and it differed from everyone else’s. Sure, her brother was the same way, but he talked to people. People accepted him because they knew the real him and knew he was cool. Elle was afraid to talk to people. No one ever tried to get to know her.
Their move to the US was very hard on Izzy. She was only eleven, and still shy as ever. In her new school, kids mocked her because she had a French accent and her English wasn't perfect. She loved having an accent, but no one else did. It made her mad. Her whole family had an accent, and she was the only one who got ridiculed for it. It almost made her want it to go away quicker than it already was. Around then was when she started to think about cutting. Yes, that young. Fortunately, Giselle never tried it. She decided against it because it might call attention to herself. That would be very very bad.
The teenager was fifteen when the beatings started picking up more. Adrienne had finally left because she realized the man she married was the one who raped her, and she wanted nothing to do with the children. This made Marc angry, so he took it out on his daughter. Never his son though. Sebastian couldn’t take it this time though. He loved his sister too much to let her deal with that. So he began to interfere, pulling his sister away from the madman. This became a regular thing, happening almost every day. Sebastian had his hands full, juggling school, a social life and all this. It didn’t last like this. Pretty soon, it happened only a few days, making things a lot easier. It was still hard though. Izzy had to deal with her father’s beatings on top of everything else. Her OCD didn’t help much, her low self-esteem didn’t, and her extreme sense of self consciousness just made it all too difficult. She was having difficulties just going to school each day. Her grades started slipping. The straight-a student came to be a straight-f student in no time at all. Someone knew there had to be an issue, so the school sent someone to the house.
They arrived on the best day for them, really. They rang the doorbell and heard a crash, like glass breaking. Maybe it was just a bad time, they figured. A man screamed for someone to answer the door, and a few moments later, Elle answered, crying and tending to a gash on her forearm. It was bleeding quite heavily to be just a small cut, so they instantly told her they were taking her to the emergency room. It was there that they discovered various other bruises and cuts on her body. It took no time at all to decide that she was to be sent away to live with other family while her father had to deal with the judicial system. Since her brother was underage as well, he was sent to the same place.
At first, it was very difficult for Elle to adjust to the school switch. Being away from home was difficult. Well, having her home be with people she didn't know nor like at that time. Of course, the fifteen year old didn't want to like them. She wanted to go back to her old school where she knew everything and it was all normal and okay. That didn't happen, so she did her best to come out of her shell and make the best of it. It didn't take long for her to make friends and become more comfortable with herself.
Starbucks. One place Giselle couldn’t get enough of. Besides the nice environment it provided, the stuff they sold was simply amazing. Izzy couldn’t get enough of it. So she decided to go there after she had woken up. That turned out to be at noon, so you really couldn’t even say she wanted to go in the morning. Whatever, either way, she was going to Starbucks.Celeb:
Giselle’s eyes opened to see a very bright sun. She had slept on the couch that night, so the sun shone straight through the windows. Sleeping on the couch wasn’t her favorite thing to do, but she’d fallen asleep while watching a movie and didn’t wake up until now. No one seemed to care though, which was good. Izzy didn’t want to cause any arguments or anything. Sitting up, she looked around to see the TV had been turned off and everything. They just left her there, which she kind of appreciated. Sleep hadn’t come very easy the past few days. This whole tour thing was kind of new to her, and it felt weird. At least they were still in California though. If she ever felt the need to go home, she could. Not that that would happen though.
The small girl stood up and stretched, feeling herself wake up a bit. Remembering the Starbucks plan, she walked to her bunk to find her bags that were tucked underneath. Giselle looked though them grabbing her makeup and the essentials. Then she needed an outfit. As she pushed clothes around, she caught a glimpse of something blue. Pulling it out, it turned out to be a sundress she’d forgotten she had. It was one of her favorites. Deciding it should be a nice enough day to wear it, she took it into the bathroom with her, where she got changed. A shower wasn’t needed because her OCD controlled that. She was to take a shower every night, unless there was a very legitimate reason she couldn’t. Her old clothes were pulled off, replaced by the ones she had just picked out.
After pulling at the sundress and making sure it fit her correctly, her eyes focused on her reflection in the mirror. Her makeup was applied sparingly, only using some mascara, eyeliner, and light black eye shadow. It looked good, so she grabbed the bracelets, part of the essentials, and slid them on her wrist. That was done with. Gathering up her dirty clothes, Giselle took them out of the bathroom with her and placed them in a separate bag she had brought for that purpose. A pair of shoes was picked out to match her dress, and sunglasses chosen too. When it got bright out, you needed them. The last thing she wanted to do was go blind because of the sun.
Izzy walked towards the door, grabbing her purse and her Blackberry before she left. The last thing she needed was to be caught without them. Not good. She exited the bus, heading off towards the Starbucks. The area was familiar to her, so it didn’t take her long to get to there.
Stepping inside of the Starbucks, Elle inhaled the aroma. It was lovely. The line wasn’t too long, so her wait was about a minute. “I’d like a tall mocha frappuccino.” The boy took her order, and she waited off to the side for it to be made, grabbing a straw so she didn’t forget. That took no time at all too. The issue now was finding a seat. Her blue eyes scanned the place, finding a table in a corner. There were three comfy chairs at the table, but she doubted anyone would sit with her. You didn’t sit with a stranger. Izzy walked to the table she had her eye on, setting her drink down before sitting herself down and smoothing her dress, making sure you couldn’t see up it or anything. That would suck.
Taking a sip of the frappuccino, Giselle settled into the chair and looked around, just watching everyone rush along. It was nice not to have to rush.
