Appearence:
HAIR - - Stella had dirty blonde hair with dark highlights, which falls past her shoulders. It is ever so lightly wavy, but she straightens it sometimes or occasionally styles in waves. But most of the time it left messy. Stella prefers to leave her hair down, but she does sometimes pull it off her face in a bun or ponytail. In particular if she's running, he can't stand to have it fall around her face.Personality:
FACE - - Her eyes are an intense hazel, and somewhat small on her oval shaped face. Her pale complexion has a very light splattering of freckle. If Stella doesn't run everyday, she thinks she'll go insane. Because of this she has a really tight, toned body to say the least. Her abdomen is pretty defined, so are her legs, but she doesnt have bulky muscles though.
STYLE - - Over her time in foster care, he was not always under the best influences. She had several piercings, namely her navel, lobs twice, left tragis and right cartilage in two places. Though he doesn't often wear them all, not any more. She got the words "and miles to go before I sleep" tattooed down her left side. Stella's clothing style is fairly casual. She's not trying to attract attention these days, though her comfort does often include low cut tops Her makeup is quite natural unless she going out and even then its not over the top. She's stylish, but not preppy and it's obvious that he doesn't have a platinum credit card.
CHARMING AND KIND - - Stella is one of those girls that is easy to like. She’s friendly, and can be outgoing, even if she’s not all that confident. She makes friends, and she’s loyal to them. No, she’s not the one willing to physically and verbally attack someone for them, but she’s there for them. She is always available as a shoulder to cry on. Stellas got experience with all sorts of people, she’s gone to five schools and lived with four different families and foster homes in between. She’s good with advice. Stella is a sweet girl when it gets down to it, despite all the drama life has put her through.History:
AWKWARD AND OPTIMITIC - - Something people say is that Stella knows how to use her body to get what she wants. You are not dealing with a saint right here, no, but it's not exactly true. She’s gorgeous, but she doesn’t strut. Especially with everything that happened, she’s not one looking for attention from boys. She’ not as confident in herself as he once was. In saying that, she does want to try to move forward and get on with her life. So she doesn’t act like a hermit. She goes out, she not overly shy or avoiding everyone.
STUBBORN AND DIRECT - - Some describe her as hard headed. If Stella has her mind made up about something no one can change it but her. It’s not easy to convince her one way or another. However, Stella is also honest, quite bluntly. She can be so straightforward it can come across as bitchy, though she really doesn't mean it to be. But as far as honesty goes she’s not all that trusting, and doesn’t tell just anyone about her past. She finds it very easy to lie; she’s got too much practice.
ALCOHOLIC AND DARK - - One of the main reasons Stella goes out is because she likes to drink. She started drinking when he was only fourteen. For the most part it was for fun, being with friends. But then it changed, and these days it helps her relax, forget, and enjoy her night. It is literal liquid courage he doesn’t get afraid; she doesn’t have the panic attack that sometime consume her, what’s wrong with that? Alcoholism is this unspoken thing, and she refuses to think about it. She refuses to believe she could be falling into her fathers patterns. Stella has some trust issues, and though she refused to talk to anyone about it, she gets really dark about her past, and hates talking about it. She can snap or get really depressed, if he’s home alone after a party, often drunk, or overtired.
ARTISTIC AND SPORTY - - Stella is a bit of a tomboy, she loves sports and having fun outdoors, like swimming and soccer. She goes for a run every day. It clears her head, and she feels like she’ll go crazy if he doesn’t. She is quite artsy she loves to sketch, and take photos. It helped her fit in here at Central, to a degree. Stella doesn’t desire the spotlight like the upper cliques, so despite her sporting abilities, preps weren’t for her. She’s not tough enough to be a rebel, and trying to get out of drugs. So her quirkiness and quietness landed her some friends who were willing to accept her without question.
It was raining on a early august night, the third, to be exact, when Estelle Grace Riley was born. Her parents, Jade and Nathan Riley, were shocked that their third child, and only daughter was born four weeks early, in Central hospital. She had two older brothers, five and three years older then her. It might have been only four weeks, but there were nasty complications and Estelle barely survived. Despite this, she has shown limited health issues since then.Sample Rp:
Stella only lived in her birth place, Central for two years before being shipped to New York. The whole family moved across the country for Nathan's work. It wasn't the best place to grow up, but to her, it was home. Stella had no memory of Central. She had a good group of friends in the neighbourhood, and a normal life for a young girl. This all changed, and she was only six years old when her mother died. Jade was murdered on the way home from the train station, when the rest of the family was in Central visiting family.
When their father, Nathan, found out, he left them in Central with a grandmother, rushing home. While the case of their mother's murder was looked over, they stayed with her for a few months while. The case was never solved. Stella can barely remember the father from her early childhood, but she's told he was once kind and outgoing. The father she knew since they returned was different. Bitter, and angry with the world.
When the reunited, Nathan was totally different. He hated the world and was on the verge of alcoholic. While he neglected his children, Stella's the oldest brother took control. He was only twelve, and tried to take control of the entire family, look after them. He managed surprisingly well for a few years, until it all fell apart. One night, when Stella was almost eleven, she watched her father drunkenly get home, worse then usual. He injured someone near to death. He was deemed incapable of caring for his children and the three were split up to different foster homes.
Over the course of the next four years Stella and Andy had become incredibly close over those years. She fought hard to see him for a while, but was ignored. It destroyed her, she had no contact with either of her brothers for a long time. She was shipped from place to place like an unwanted parcel. She made some friends along the way, and some enemies. A once bubbly, sweet girl, she became less confident and darker. Over the years she was subject to many bad influences, and started drinking and drugs. She even helped a foster sister through a pregnancy at fourteen. In Chicago she got caught, and shipped to Boston, after another stint in a group home.
When Stella was almost sixteen, she got caught up with the wrong people. She started seeing Liam, but he was always jealous of her friendship with Sam, a guy from the same group home as her, who was visiting from Queens. One night they driving home from a party. Sam was driving, and all of them, including Stella, Liam and his friend, Zack, were drunk or on drugs. The car hit a corner way to fast and they rolled the car. They all ended up in hospital. Zack died. Stella sliced open her shoulder when she hit the window but was okay. Liam blamed Sam for the accident, and Zack's death. After that Stella was shipped once again, this time to Brooklyn.
Six months later, Sam got a hold of Stella. They lived fairly close now, just a train ride away. He wanted to talk about the accident and everything. He missed her. So Stella started hanging out with some of his friends. This was probably the worst people she had gotten caught up with. She didn't leave them, because of Sam, but they had a reputation. They were known for not treating girls well, dealing drugs, far too much alcohol and waking up in a jail cell.
Her family in Brooklyn only wanted the cheque each month, and she was ignored. It was not the first time she'd been treated badly in a home, and not the worst she'd been treated. So she spent a lot of time with Sam. She wasn't stupid enough to think she could change him, but she did have some fun, and in reality she had no one else too turn too. Sam and her started getting closer. Started flirting. Started messing around. One night she got kicked out of her foster home for the night, and Sam let her stay over. They ended up sleeping together, and Sam, at his sweetest, like the guy she used to know, asked her out. They started seeing each other, but it wasn't like the movies. No dates or dinners. More just a claim over her. She spent a lot of nights sleeping at his, especially since she hated her foster family.
They had always been the type of friends that were constantly teasing each other. Since they were small they'd been poking each other, chasing each other, laughing. One party it got to a whole new level. They'd all had far too much too drink, and Stella was sitting on Sam's lap. Sam didn't see an reason why they couldn't go to the spare bedroom together, but Stella was having a good time, the laughter and alcohol distracting her, and she didn't want to.
He had been rough with her before, this was not something new. Sam threw her to the ground, threatening her. She glared at him, sick of the treatment when some blond guy ran up at tackled Sam, beating him in a rage. Someone eventually staggered over and tugged the blond guy off Sam, when he was unconscious and nearly dead. Another pulled Stella off the ground, when she finally got a good look at the guy. It was her older brother Andy. his foster brother and best friend was one of Sam's mates. Sam was later hospitalised, but with everyone so drunk or high, no one got a straight story for what happened.
Andy managed to get in contact with their uncle in Central, who offered for them to live with him. They ran away, leaving their foster families and friends behind. They enrolled at the local college and school, trying to get some normality. but while Andy tries to stay clean and sober, Stella can't quite kick the habit. She's so scared that Andy will fall back into it, while she's trying to enjoy normal teenage parties with nicer people. Andy is over protective of her, he was when they were younger but now especially so. She's slightly awkward around people now though, and needs to build her confidence back up, and she's trying to move forward, though she's not telling anyone what happened in all her years of foster care. Some pieces she even keeps from her brother. All Stella really wants for Christmas is no more waking up screaming.
